A/N: Slight warning, there is a slight panic attack moment in the flashback.
Not sure if I wrote it correctly, I apologize if I did. I'm not trying to offend anyone. Well with that said, I hope you enjoy the chapter.
"In the end, you'll know which people really love you. They're the ones who see you for who you are and no matter what, always find a way to be at your side."

Lafayette's POV
"Alexander Hamilton."
I felt my hand tighten around Herc's. I looked up at him and his expression held the same concern mine did.
"Wait, you know him?" I heard Thomas ask. I turned back to him, and nodded.
"Back in college, me and Alex shared a dorm." I explained. "It's also where I met Herc."
"Wait, how long have you two been dating?" Thomas asked, yelling.
"Thomas calm down," I said quietly, "You're acting like, how you say, an overprotective dad."
Hercules stifled a laugh, earning a glare from Thomas which was cut off when I glared back at him.
I let out a sigh. I'm living with actual children.
"Look do you want to know about Alex or not?" I finally asked Thomas.
Thomas was silent, giving me the answer I needed.
"Right, now that we're done with that, Alexander Hamilton was my dorm mate during the first year of college," I explained, "he seemed reserved and quiet, spoke French."
I continued,
"I've never seen someone's eyes so full of loss and a burning passion for knowledge. He often spent his time alone in his room. I tried to talk to him a lot but I didn't really get to know him until my second year."
I looked over at Hercules, who smiled at me with a loving gaze which made me feel a little better talking about this.
"Wait what happened to Alex? And what do you mean 'loss'?" Thomas asked.
"He didn't tell you?" I asked, nervously.
"What did he not tell me?" Thomas asked, anticipation was clear in his eyes.
"Thomas, Alex's home island was hit by a hurricane."

Thomas' POV
I froze.
Adding pieces together wasn't hard. That must have been why Alex couldn't contact me. I tired to contact him for months. Nothing worked.
"Wait, So you two didn't go to college together?" Hercules asked Laf, cutting off my thoughts.
"We did for a year, but...I missed you mon amour." Lafayette gazes lovingly at Hercules.
"That was a rough year..." Hercules admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "I missed you too."
"At least you had Alex and..." Lafayette started but froze, looking back at me. "Never mind that, there's still more to tell about Alexander."
