Alex's POV

It's currently 6 am. Today is Friday October 5th. I told Thomas I would tell him today. In our place by the lake.

I don't even know where to start. I've been trying to forget about him, but I know I have to tell Thomas at some point.

He's been so kind to me all week. I really don't think I deserve him. He's too good to be friends with me. He's way better than I could ever dream of being.

He's talented, charming, funny. I don't even know if I could bring myself to tell him what I did. How I...

I felt hot tears spill down my cheeks, I pushed them away with the heel of my palm. They still fell down my face. I saw the screen on my phone glow. I wiped my tears and saw a text from...Thomas.

Weird. What was he doing up this late?

I picked up my phone and started reading the text Thomas sent.

Thomas: Hey, I know it's early but I knew you'd be awake right now. I don't want you to worry. If you really were asleep I'm sorry that I woke you up but you need to hear this Alexander, you need to know it's okay to open up to people. You don't have to be afraid...

I stared at the screen, smiling to myself...

Alex: I don't deserve you, Thomas Jefferson.

Thomas: Say that again but change don't to do

Alex: I'm being serious

Thomas: So am I

Alex:...can we, can we meet up?

Thomas: Right now?

Alex: please I really wanna see you.

My hands sweat as I waited anxiously for a response. Three dots appeared on the screen before Thomas responded.

Thomas: Ok

I beamed, getting up and getting a large coat and whatever else I had before walking outside into the brisk autumn air. Thomas showed up several minutes later.

"You could have waited inside." He said, smirking as he held the passenger door open. I ran up to him, not really knowing what came over me as I rushed to wrap my arms around him.

I held him in a tight embrace. Thomas seemed surprised as he flinched at my touch. I clenched onto the back of his jacket. Smiling as he hugged me back.

"What was that for?" Thomas questioned as he got into the truck.

I shrugged it off.

"I got cold."

Thomas' POV

I let out a huff before I started the truck. We drove and I tried to lighten the mood of the morning with coffee and music. Alex quietly hummed along to it.

We eventually reached our place and drank our coffee in the back of the truck. I looked over at Alex as the sun began to shine against his hair.
