Ezra

I walked up to her door and knocked, hoping Lola wouldn't answer. "It's open!" I heard from inside. I walked inside and saw Everly at the full length body mirror just down the hall from the door. "Sorry I got home like... a half hour ago..." She was wearing black shorts with fishnets and a gray t-shirt that was cut so it was a midriff. Her hair was put up in a messy bun. She looked absolutely beautiful. She was finishing putting on some makeup as I looked her over. "-so the jackass kept me later." She sounded frustrated.

"You look beautiful." My mouth had a mind of its own. Fuck. What if she thinks that's a weird thing to say? What if she thinks that I wasn't listening to her at all? I mean I wasn't- she turned around. She was stunning.

"Thank you." She smiled softly before moving to put her shoes on. I couldn't help but look at her as she bent over... god she had an amazing body... "so where is this party at?" She asked.

"It's at a my buddy's house. His name is Tyler." I replied. She nodded and moved to me. She smelled like vanilla.... "Ready?" I asked. She nodded and I opened the door for her and she headed out with me. "So Lola isn't home?" I asked.

"She's home, she just is moping in her bedroom."

"Moping?" I asked taken aback.

"Her and Tristan are having issues." Was all she said. I opened the car door for her. "Thank you." She smiled before getting in. She was so adorable. I smiled before getting in the driver's side. "So what is the party for?" She asked.

"Tyler just throws parties to throw them." I shrugged, starting the car.

"Oh okay." She nodded. I started driving to his house. I turned on some music and she started humming along to it. I couldn't help but smile. I parked on the street about a block away from Tyler's house. She got out of the car and I did the same before moving to her. We walked side by side and went inside to see the huge crowd of people dancing around and drinking. Tyler and his girlfriend were in the living room making out heavily. I looked to Everly who looked uncomfortable.

"We don't have to stay if you don't want to-"

"No it's fine, I'm just not used to huge parties..." she replied. I lead her into the kitchen.

"Do you want something to drink?" I asked her. She shook her head. I nodded and grabbed myself a soda before bringing her to a quieter spot in the backyard. Jake sat on the back porch with his girlfriend, Kiara.

"Hey lover boy come sit with us!" She called over. I looked to Everly who had already started towards the porch.

"How's it going Jake?" Everly asked sitting on swinging bench across from Jake and Kiara. Kiara clung to Jake a little more when she saw Everly. I sat next to Everly but made sure to give her enough space.

"Going good, hows writing going for you?" He replied.

"Oh it's going great, I got asked to go back to the office though... they want me to move up a position." she replied.

"Oh that's good." He replied. "Is that a management position or are you just a lead?"

"Management... senior editor to be exact..." she answered nervously.

"That's awesome! When do you start?"

"Oh I haven't accepted yet, I wanted to think it over."

"What's there to think about, hun? You should just go for it!" Kiara barged in. Everly looked to her, almost like she was analyzing her. Taking in her dyed blonde hair, and her dark fake tan. She was wearing a tight black spaghetti strap dress and thigh high heeled boots.
