Sunday, Chris and Denise spent at Gucci Headquarters signing their 'Save the Date' cards. Since July of 2017, when Chris let slip that he and Denise were engaged, companies and designers of every brand imaginable had been contacting Chris' management team with offers to sponsor their wedding. There were offers to do their 'Save the Date' cards and wedding invitations. Gucci, Tom Ford, Hugo Boss, and a few other names offered to design Chris' tuxedo, and similarly Denise got offers from Vera Wang, Christian Dior, Monique Huillier, and many other notable designers to design her wedding dress. Their wedding party was graced with the same courtesy if they accepted, and because Dodger was part of the wedding party- he was going to get a little puppy tux too. The best part of it was everything came free of charge, all they wanted was the privilege to say they were a part of a wedding that would surely make headlines. Chris Evans was finally off the market and he was marrying Denise Hogan, a girl who was surely going to make as huge a name for herself.

Basically if they didn't want to plan the wedding themselves, they didn't have to. There were people ready to cater to their every need; samples of any and every possible thing they needed could be sent to their front door if they'd asked for it. It was a great privilege they agreed they'd utilize to a certain degree because they'd rather plan the thing themselves as though they were a normal couple. Their wedding was a celebration of them. If they didn't have to let strangers into that, they'd rather not. Chris had spent almost two decades in the limelight and he'd never care for it. He knew when he got into a serious relationship, one he planned to see all the way to the alter that the attention would only intensify. It was because of that that he briefed Denise about the limelight the second he realized she was the one for him. She thought he was exaggerating when he said it was "literal hell on earth." It wasn't until she experienced it herself that she realized he wasn't. She quickly climbed aboard his train fueled by his dread and hatred towards the paparazzi and relentlessness of aggressive 'fans' (written in inverted commas as it was a loose term when describing that particular group of people.)

Their decision to take on Gucci's offer to design their 'Save the Date' cards was a result of their time constriction, and Gucci's beautiful and elegant design. They'd sent it a month after Chris publicly announced his engagement, and the fact that it was the one design that stuck with them after two years made it clear they had to accept their offer. They had also offered to design their wedding invitations, but that job had already been snatched up by Kevin Fiegi. He had made plans with a few of his Disney contacts and they were going to create a Disney themed wedding invitation for the couple who loved Disney as much as they loved each other.

Chris and Denise discussed having a full blown themed wedding, but decided against it after looking at themed weddings on Pinterest. Classy and elegant with subtle hints- like a classic white and gold wedding invitation that had Mickey and Minnie's silhouettes as a watermark, and the Disney castle in gold glitter on the header. That was more Denise's speed, and anything she liked- Chris loved; he just wanted to marry her. As much as they both loved all things Disney, they both were in agreement when it came to not wanting the best day of their lives to look like a children's birthday party.

Their wedding was set for the 28th of September as they met on the 28th of February. Denise joked, saying they only picked the twenty-eighth so Chris could "have an easier time remembering our anniversaries." His response "I could never forget the best days of my life" rendered her utterly speechless, leaving her to do the only thing she could whenever he bested her; kiss him.

"Thank you so much, Adriana," Denise squeezed the head designer's hand. She'd come up with the elegant black and gold 'Save the Date' cards: 'Save the Date: 28th of September - Christopher Evans and Denise Hogan are tying the knot.' "This turned out so much better than I'd imagined. Don't you think so, Chris? Aren't they beautiful?" She held up a card for him to see but he was too lost in his thoughts to respond.
