Chapter 4

Danielle's p.o.v:

After I told Kara I knew she was Supergirl, I walked down the stairs to the main office area of the D.E.O. I noticed Alex and Kara just standing there still shocked at my response earlier.

" aren't I gonna get a tour around this place or not?" I said with a smirk on my face.

Alex snapped out of it and walked in front of me leading me to the beginning of the tour. " so this is the main area where everyone usually is as you can see." Alex said. She then started walking down the hall to show me the rooms and where I would be working. I followed given as I wanted to start setting up my work place already.

" from this door down to the end of the hall way are just rooms that we keep patients if any of our agents or prisoners get hurt and we have to treat them. If we need u in any of these rooms we'll give you a call through this..." she said , handing me a small gadget that look like a micro chip. I looked at it confused not knowing what to do with it when she said " you put that in your ear so we can communicate at all times necessary" I felt better now that I know where it goes and put it in my ear.

" this room here..." she said pointing the room to her left " is your office area and main laboratory" I walked inside amazed at how big the room was. Of course it was a mess considering all the boxes the delivery guy put everywhere from my previous office but, it'll get fixed up in a jiffy. " well that's pretty much it. As you go on through the years you find out the rest of this place." She said with a smile. I smiled back and said " thanks Alex. I appreciate everything you've all done so far." She nodded with a smile as a sign for ( your welcome) and walked to the main area. I turned around and thought I would start unpacking everything and organizing my office/ laboratory.

Kara's p.o.v :

After the comment Danielle made I walked up to Winn in the main area on his desk. " hey Winn , what's up" he turned around almost jumping cause I broke his focus off his computer and startled him a bit. " jeez Kara a little warning next time wouldn't hurt." He said as he reapplied his focus back to his computer. " sorry, why so tense?" I asked questioning why he was so uptight today. " I'm sorry , I've just been working all day and night and I'm really tired. I barely get 4 hours of sleep." I felt bad considering how much Winn does for us. He deserves at least a good rest. " I'll talk to Alex about it... it's gonna be fine you'll get to be able to sleep soon."

I walked away after giving him a gentle smile. I walked towards where I saw Alex leaning on the wall looking at Danielle unpack her stuff and organize her office through her window. " hey, earth to Alex" I said snapping her out of her day dream. " oh sorry Kara. I didn't see you there. What's up?"
She said so nonchalantly. " I was hoping you could cut Winn's shift early so he can go home and get some rest cause he's been acting like the grinch lately cause of his restless days ever since he worked here." Alex looked over at him and I saw a hint of guilt in her eyes. " your right, it's my fault I asked him if he can stay a couple hours past his shift these past weeks so he can do some scanning on national city to check if everything's okay." I smiled at her concern over the city. "Alex I understand. I'll let him know he can get back to his regular schedule so his sleeping hours are normal again." Alex nodded as she refocused her gaze towards Danielle's office and noticed how the girl looked overwhelmed. She must've used her super speed cause she had only a couple boxes left out of the 15 that were brought in.

" hey Kara? " Alex said " yea what's up?" Alex hesitated before talking again. " is it okay if I take Danielle to Noonan's to get some lunch. Not as a date, she just looks like she needs a break." I looked at Danielle and saw she looked like she needed a coffee and lunch. " sure , I don't see why not" I said while smiling and walking away.

Alex's p.o.v :

I took a deep breath before walking into Danielle's office. " hey." I said leaning on the door frame. She turned around and smiled, " hey" she said. As she responded I walked towards her and asked " I saw you in here looking exhausted so I thought maybe you'd want to take a break and get some lunch." She smiled and looked around the room as if debating if she should go out or stay and finish up. She turned to me and I gave her a 'please say yes' look. " sure why not" she said. Internally I was screaming and jumping. " great let's go" as I was about to walk out of her office she stopped me and said " we should take my car it's just outside." I looked at her confused. " didn't you fly here?" She noticed she didn't mention something when she responded by saying..." yes but I had my drivers drop off my car here cause I don't think I would be able to fly back home after all of this." I looked at her understanding and gave her a nod as to saying ' let's go then'
