Chapter 9

Danielle's p.o.v:

When I saw him standing there I wanted to hurt him for leaving me all alone with my mother. I never hated anyone more than I hate this man standing here. " what the hell are you doing here?" I said with a stern voice. "Well that's no way to talk to your father is it?" He said. " you are no father to me!" I said looking him right in the eyes. Kara just stood there confused. She thought all along he was dead. "dad? How are you here? You died on krypton." Kara asked eagerly waiting for a response. I scoffed and walked out of Kara's apartment. I didn't want to be there. Why couldn't Kara see the real person he was? He did things that no true Kryptonian should ever do.

After I left Kara's apartment I went straight home to get some rest. I've had an extremely long day.

It was morning. The sun peeked through my blinds waking me up before my alarm clock. I woke up anyway and started to get ready for work. I had a meeting at 7 o'clock in the office. When I was done getting dressed and grabbed my coffee I headed straight for the building. I finally arrived after what felt like years of traffic. As I got to my floor where my office was I saw someone sitting in the chair across from my desk, waiting. I walked in confused cause I didn't remember having a separate meeting. As I walked in the figure turned around and I saw it was Alex. " alex! Hey, what's up?" I asked surprised she would even show up here. " hey. I just wanted to come by and talk quick. If you have time of course." She said. "absolutely. So what is it you want to talk about?" I said waiting for her to speak. " um well actually I wanted to talk about yesterday. I understand that what happened is none of my business and we won't work out relationship wise. I just want to know why? Why her?" She said with a pleasing look in her eyes. I felt guilty. Guilty for the pain I put her through. I sighed and looked down at the floor before answering her. " Alex I understand I hurt you. And I'm completely sorry about that. I didn't mean to cause you any pain at all. Those weren't my intentions. I just... really feel something with Lena. Like a connection. Like two magnets. But with you I just don't feel the same. I'm incredibly sorry. I really am" I said trying to help her understand my feeling for Lena. She nodded her head and forced a smile. " it's ok. I understand. Thank you for opening my eyes though. Uh... I have to get back to the D.E.O but I'll see you later." She smiled and walked out of the office. I was deep in thought when I heard my assistant speak through the phone speaker and remind me of the meeting I had in one of the bigger rooms. I quickly grabbed the folder organized for the meeting and walked towards the room.

As I got there I noticed Lena siting down in front of about 7 business men waiting for me. When I walked in Lena and I made eye contact and she smiled and mouthed 'good morning' to me. I smiled and my way to the presentation board.

After the meeting everyone left except for Lena. She stood behind with me while I was taking down the posters I set up the night before. As I was reaching to grab a poster I felt two arms wrap around me from behind. Then I felt someone rest their head on my shoulder. I smiled knowing it was Lena. I turned around and wrapped my arms around her neck bringing her in closer for a kiss. After we broke away from the kiss we looked into each others eyes. I thought of how I would want to wake up to these green pair of eyes every morning and how I would love my future children to have her eyes.
