Chapter 6

Danielle's p.o.v:
After me and Alex were done with lunch we drove back to the D.E.O. The whole car ride there was just awkward silence. So I tried to drive as fast as I can.

We finally get there and as I was about to get out the car my phone started ringing. Caller ID 'Jake 🤘😜🤘' I grabbed my phone and got out. " I'll meet you inside. I have to take this."
" okay see ya" she said

I picked up my phone and answered.

Me: " hey, what's up"

Jake 🤘😜🤘: " hey dani. How are you?"

Me: " I'm good. Why'd you call?"

Jake 🤘😜🤘: " I was wondering... if you'd want to stop by the office. I have to talk to you about something."

Me: " okay I'll be there in 10"

I said hanging up before he can say anything. Jake is my adoptive brother. He's a couple years older than me but we act like twins together. Before I go to the family building I went into the D.E.O to tell them I have to go.

Alex's p.o.v:

As I walked into the D.E.O I couldn't help but think about who that guy was that called Danielle. 'Is he her boyfriend?' I thought until Kara came up to me.

" hey, how did lunch go." She asked when Danielle stood next to me after the phone call. "umm... it was good" I said smiling and turning towards Danielle. She looked confusingly at me with a smirk forming on her her face. " yea.. but uh Alex we need to talk later or tomorrow about what happened there with Lena and all it was sort of weird."

Kara was standing there thinking about what could've happened. Before she asked, Danielle cut in saying " but I have to go right now it's a family emergency. I'll be back as soon as I'm done handling it." She said before we knew it she was already half way to the exit. Kara was gonna ask me what happened but I interrupted her saying "don't even ask kar' it is something I regret doing" I said looking down at my feet.

Kara looked at me with her puppy dog face to make me give in and tell her. "ugh. God u need to stop doing that..." I said while Kara still continued making that face. " fine... when we were getting lunch Danielle and Lena ran into each other and Lena spilled her coffee so Danielle offered to buy her another one and when I came up to Danielle to see what the hold up was I saw Lena next to her checking her out and I couldn't help but feel a little jealous so I asked Lena how she was while I awkwardly grabbed Danielle by the waist pulling her into me..." I said rambling. I looked up at Kara and saw her shocked face.

" wow. Um Alex that was a little over the top. No wonder why she wants to talk to you about that" Kara said.

" I know. She's probably confused about what happened considering both me and Lena were being intimate with her" I said. " what??? You and Lena were being touchy with her?" Kara asked almost sounding angry. " yea... Lena and I acted like high school kids that have a crush" I said looking worried at Kara. " rao. I just... it's weird at the thought of my boss and sister being all ... touchy" she said disgusted.

" yea... I'm gonna go to check on everyone and see if any things wrong" I said worried what Kara thought about me liking her sister and wanting to ask her out.

Danielle's p.o.v:

After I left the D.E.O I drove straight to my family's corporation. When I got there I took the elevators to the main office floor and walked in. When I opened the door I noticed the emerald eyed girl sitting at the meeting table.

" um... sorry I didn't mean to intrude but Jake you called me to meet you here" I said trying not to make eye contact with the green eyed girl. She was sitting there smiling at me. " oh hey dani. Um yea I wanted to talk to you and the board about something. Please, take a seat." He said motioning his head towards the empty seat next to Lena. I sat down next to the Kryptonite eyed girl. Her eyes were almost shining green when I sat next to her. " how are you, Ms. Luthor?" I asked her to break the awkwardness. " well Ms. Stephens, my day just got better" she said with a smirk on her face.

" okay so, I wanted everyone of you sitting here to know that I'm resigning from being the C.E.O of this company." Jake said making everyone almost gasp of shock and confusion. Except for me. Jake was only in this business cause his father wanted the legacy to continue. Jake never wanted to inherit the company but he did anyway. It was now his choice to pass it on to whoever he wanted. " and with that I will be passing the business down to my sister" he said. I thought he was talking about Tori, our younger sister. That was until I looked up and saw him looking right at me.

I looked at him furrowing my eyebrows. " what...? Me??" I said not happy with the decision. " I... I can't. I already have a job." I said trying every way to reject his offer. " Dani you don't have a choice you're the next sibling in line to inherit the company and Tori is too young to be a C.E.O. Sorry but it's either you or we have to sell the business. And to be honest being a C.E.O of your family's company is better than being a doctor." He said with straight facts. I sighed defeated at his answer and finally gave in. I only gave in cause I didn't want mom and dad to be disappointed in me. And I wanted to keep the legacy so Tori can get a chance to run it one day. "fine. I'll do it. What do I have to sign?" I said and before I knew it I owned a multi-billionaire company that brought millions and billions of dollars to my family's name.

As everyone was leaving the building, along with everyone else, Lena caught up to me. " hey, how does it feel owning a huge company now?" She asked with a huge smile on her face now that she gets to have an excuse to see me now. "um it's nothing I can't handle. I was sort of trained for this as I took business as a minor in college." I said not as happy about the achievement. "Well can't you get any more interesting" she said as we stopped outside once we walked out of the exit.

Alex's p.o.v:

I tracked Danielle down by the ear piece I gave her considering I was worried she's been gone for hours and hasn't called.

I stopped my motorcycle across from a huge skyscraper that had the name 'Stephens' along the side of it. As I took my helmet off and was crossing the street to the building I saw Danielle and Lena talking outside with big smiles and giggles escaping their mouths. I felt a rage of anger flood my whole body. I couldn't hold it in anymore so what I did next was the worst thing I've ever done in my life.

As I was storming towards the two, Danielle spotted me. " oh hey Alex, what are you -" I interrupted her smashing my lips on hers and leading her to a passionate kiss fueled by my jealousy of her and Lena getting close.
