Chapter 10

Danielle's pov

After that day in the office with Lena, I knew I had to ask her out. I wanted to be with her. I wanted her. I planned out a beautiful date for later today. Hopefully she will say yes and all this wouldn't be a waste of time.

It's about 9am and I've been in my office just sitting here. Playing with a pen and stuck in my thoughts. My anxiety is taking over me. I hate when this happens and I can't control it. Everything running through my mind... what if Lena says no? What if she was just experimenting? What if after everything... after all those kisses we've shared, she was only testing if she had feelings for me?

I was so into my thoughts I didn't even notice Kara enter until I heard a loud noise slam on my desk. I looked up and saw Kara with an angry face and her hand on top of one of my books she must've slammed on my desk. "Kara, what a pleasant surprise. What can I help you with?" I asked politely. Trying to ease the tension. "I need to have a serious talk with you. Sister to sister. It's about dad." She said. I rolled my eyes and leaned back in my chair. Smoothing out my black pant suit. "I am not having this conversation with you right now Kara. Please. I have more important things to deal with at the moment." I stated. Kara scoffed and shook her head. "Yeah, right. Like breaking my sisters heart huh?" She glared at me. I furrowed my eye brows in confusion. "I already spoke with Alex about all of that. And I apologize many times including the roses I sent her the other day as yet another apology." I got up from my seat to lean across my desk. "I never intended on hurting her and you know that." I said through gritted teeth. "Actually I don't know that. In fact I don't know you at all. You could be a murderer for all I know. What makes you think I'm going to trust you? You're no sister to me." She stated rather harshly. I was fuming by now. She used my line from what I said to our father the other day. "Well if that's how you really feel then I suggest you leave. And I'll gladly stop trying to involve myself in your life." I said with tears daring to spill out of my eyes but I managed to hold them in.

Right when Kara was about to speak there was a huge explosion outside and harsh shaking of the building. Kara immediately changed into Supergirl and flew out of my balcony. I decided I should start helping the city too. So I opened a secret closet I had in my office. A leather red hood and pants showed. I haven't exactly thought of a name yet. I quickly changed and flew out of my balcony after grabbing my eye mask and katana swords. I use weapons so people won't compare my powers to Supergirl.
