Chapter 13

I woke up to a peaceful feeling of warmth beside me. I smiled remembering last night. As I opened my eyes, I looked down to see Lena sleeping peacefully on my chest. I admired the small yet fine features on her face. She was absolutely beautiful, no doubt about it. I stood laying down for a little, not wanting the moment to end so quickly. I stared outside the big window in my bedroom while laying with Lena. I slowly rubbed up and down her back in a caring yet soothing way.

That was until she started to stir. She stretched and yawned a bit while I stood there still admiring her. She noticed I was up and her eyes traveled towards mine. "Good Morning love" I said smiling softly.
She returned a smile. "Good morning." I leaned in for a quick kiss but she stopped me. "We both have morning breath sweetheart. Let's go wash up first then you can get all the kisses you want." She smirked as she slowly got off the bed then sprinted towards the bathroom. "Hey! Get back here!" I chased after her.

We both freshened up. Taking our turns showering.
She insisted I shower first because she takes years in there. So I did. Then after I got out, I decided to go make us both some breakfast.

I walked to the kitchen and decided to make some Vanilla pancakes with strawberries and bananas on the side.

After about thirty minutes of cooking and waiting for Lena to come out, she walked in with a happy look on her face. "I made you breakfast love. Sit down." I told her. She sat down still looking at me with this look in her eyes. "What is it?" I said confused by the way she was eyeing me. She shook her head with a slight smile forming in her lips. "Nothing. I just- you're such an amazing person and I have no idea how I got so lucky." I walked closer to her. I tilted her head to look up at me. "You may think you're the lucky one here, but I've never been so happy in ages. And I thank you for that." I leaned in and kissed her lovingly. Not a long kiss though, but long enough to show my appreciation.

"Eat now. You've got to get some nutrients in that amazing body of yours." I winked at her. "You're not going to eat yourself?" She asked furrowing her eyebrows. "I have to get going to work love. I'll be gone for a trip for a couple of days. I'll see you when I get back. Okay?" I explained to her while putting my jacket on and grabbing my luggage I packed while she was in the shower. She look at me with questioning eyes. "How come you didn't tell me sooner? I wouldn't have over stayed my welcome if I knew." She said worried. "It's okay. Really. It was sort of last minute. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner. You can stay as long as you want though." I gave her a quick peck and said goodbye. I left her a copy of the key to the front door in case she decided to stay. I walked out of the building and packed up my things into the back of my black Range Rover. My driver drove me to the private hangar the D.E.O had at the airport.

As we arrived I got my things together and got out of the car. I walked towards the private jet where I saw Kara and Alex standing with a few other agents. "Good morning." I said getting their attention as I got closer. My outfit for the day was pretty comfortable. Just some jeans and white tee with a leather jacket over and some black glasses because of how bright it was out. "Morning." Kara and Alex said as they noticed my presence.

We all boarded the plane soon after and took our seats. I got comfortable in my little area and made sure I had everything I needed to keep me entertained on the fight. "Dani, Alex made this tracking system while on this small mission on everyone's phones just to make sure we all are safe. You're the last one she needs to install it on." Kara told me.

"Yeah of course here you go." I said as I handed Alex my phone. It took her about five minutes to install the tracking system. When I assume she finished my phone dinged. Alex's mood slightly changed while she looked at the phone in her hands. "It's your girlfriend." She said handed my back my phone.
I took it from her softly. I checked the message I got from Lena.

Ms. Luther ✨💚
Hey! I just wanted to make sure you boarded your flight safely. I'll miss you and I can't wait till you come back and I get to kiss you again. Much love, -Lena xo

I smiled reading her message. These feelings I have for her are unpredictable. I wrote her back and quickly pressed send.

Hi, my love! I'll miss you greatly. I can't wait to hold you again. I had an incredible time with you last night and I can't wait to do it again. I'll speak to you later when I land. Xoxo

I decided to take a little nap during the flight since I have nothing better to do. So I slowly dozed off.. letting the darkness take over my mind.
