So in Chapter 3 we finally got up to the present and I’m here to explain a few thing more than what was mentioned in the author’s note of the last chapter.
Since when you met Ur and now has to be a seven year gap (because of how everything in the show works) you were 9 when you met Ur, making you now 16 years old. I felt the story will be better with you younger than pretty much every single character. The place in the story where you come in is after *SPOILERS* Juvia and Gajeel join the guild but before Wendy and everything with Oracion Seis.
But what have you been doing for this seven year gap? Well after searching for Ur for a long time (idk… a year or two?) you settled down in a small village in the forest north of Akane Beach. The name of the village is going to be New Bark Town (copyright to Pokémon :p) and you help take care of the people there. In the village, it is mainly elderly people or young couples with children around the ages of 5- 9 so you’re the only one in your age group (this is why the village needs help taking care of itself). You live in a tree house just outside of the village and not the actual village. Why? You don’t want the people to worry about you, but they do anyway. You’re still pretending to be a guy and everyone in New Bark Town knows you as (m/n).
Magic. You know Ice Maker magic and have only practiced it a little bit ‘cause it doesn’t do much to help the village. Your magic is a light purple unlike the blue and green of Gray's and Leon's. Sometimes you impress the kids by making a rose or small animal (like Gray did in that one episode to show Lucy his magic). You are also the only wizard in the village.
Hope this clears things up for the next chapter (or two?). I would find a way to incorporate explaining this in the story but typing it out like so is a lot easier!
