Chapter 10

 "Here we are! Magnolia Town!"

You we're in awe of the beautiful city. The magnificent medieval-styled buildings seemed to stretch on forever, and those were just peoples' homes! There were many different shops that sold a variety of items; magic shops, toy stores... anything you could imagine! The layout was complex so you had to stick close to Natsu so that you didn't get lost by taking a wrong turn down one of the narrow alleyways.  

"The guild is on the north side of town," Natsu began while still walking down the street, "since we came in the south side, we have a bit of walking to do."

"I don't mind," you responded quickly while watching the people in town. So many people! And all so different and carefree, so far you hadn't seen anyone farming or selling bountiful amounts of crops.

'Must be a merchant town,' you though to yourself. But stopped in you tracks looking at the huge building in front of you. It was beautiful, two large cylinder pieces (?) went off the sides of the main part and there were many carvings in stone that the building was made of.

"Natsu, what is this building?" you breathed out, (e/c) eyes shining as you tried to take it all in.

"That's the Kardia Cathedral," he responded while... glaring at it?

"Something wrong?" you asked.

"No... that place has some... memories," he finished, "c'mon. This way to the guild," and he began walking again.

'Sounds like Natsu has a difficult past. Although I have a difficult past as well,' you thought while jogging to catch up to Natsu.

After another ten minutes or so of walking, accompanied by an official Natsu and Happy Tour of Magnolia, you reached the guild. And stopped dead in you tracks.

"Hm? (m/n), you okay?" Natsu asked, turning to look at you.

"T-this... the guild..." you didn't have words... how did it turn out like this?

"The guild? Yeah I know the building's huge, I liked the old one better, but it's still cool! You should check out the inside, we have a pool!" he laughed.

"Fairy... Tail?" your voice was below a whisper. How had you forgotten? The whole reason you left the village was to find this guild, how had you not noticed sooner? Natsu said he was in a guild and then took you directly to the town that the guild is in! You could finally meet Gray and ask him about Ur.

"Seriously (m/n) you're freaking me out..." Natsu said. Happy added an 'aye' in there as well.

"Sorry! Let's go inside," you said with newfound energy. You ran up the steps to the building and grabbed the doors, this was it! With Natsu right behind you, you threw open the doors and looked inside.

Chaos.

That was the only word to describe the scene before you.

"AHAHAHAHA! I hoped it would be like this when you came (m/n)!" Natsu said while running into the fight. Yep, there was a huge fight going on in front of you. Weren't these people all guild mates?!

Though everyone seemed serious about beating another they were also... smiling. Yes, they were happy somehow. Somehow punching the crap out of their friends made them smile.

You scanned the room looking at all the mages. It was so cool! Never before had you seen so many different kinds of magic! There was a woman using card to fight against two other men who were fighting with some kind of purple fire and the other with... smoke?
