Nowhere

"Fear doesn't shut you down; it wakes you up"

The black figure ran across the street, barely carrying its tiny paws across the alley, and into a street.

The cars that were screeching, the humans that were walking, and everything else was a mere distraction for the little creature.

But it still hurt.

The sound was blasting through his ears, making a huge, annoying ring, making it harder for the little fellow to concentrate on were the other humans were heading.

It's whole black-furred body ached everywhere, it's right shoulder drastically bleeding, it's right cheek scarred from a burn long ago.

"Come out little fellow," the human said, "I won't bite..."

The human took out a metal box from his black leather jacket , and flicked a light from it. A flame floated on the top, making the human's face brighter. It licked its lips slowly and cautiously. Making a threat.

"C'mon little fellow... I'm bored... I need someone to play with..."

The creature ran fast, the human, faster.

The creature stopped at a dead end, still looking left and right for anywhere else to go.

Nowhere.
