It was Tuesday afternoon and I was chatting to Rebecca, a girl that was having trouble with their horse Lightning. Lightning is a white stunning horse, but hello balked and refused every jump. If I couldn't make him jump in a few weeks, hello was going to be sold. I didn't want that to happen, Lightning is a sweet horse and Rebecca loves him. I was going to be riding in a lesson with the team and the next few days I was going to alternate with group lesson and some time where I would work individually. I thought that this was a great chance. I was going to be helping someone and I was going to ride, I really missed that. In less than a month I was going to be able to ride Mandala but not jump, besides, I didn't want to push her again.

Rebecca handed me Lightning's reins and I took them as I walked into the ring. I sprang into the saddle and warmed up. Lightning turned out to be a lazy and slow horse, I was going to go grab my spurs but Elizabeth entered the ring.
"And the rest of the team?" I asked wondering where they were.
"Jess had an early lesson and Heather had a school project so she couldn't make it. The other two should be on there way because they do have a lesson today." She explained as she asked Mike the head groom to set up a few jumps.

A few minutes later, Alison and Lucy came in chatting about clothes but when they saw Elizabeth they stayed quiet and mounted. Alison came up to me and I was just going to ignore her but then she started accusing me.
"You came here early so that it looked like we got here late!" She said.
"No I didn't. I was here on time, you were not." I backfired.
"You did not! You are mad at Lucy because she was rude to you by taking me away from you and say that you showed me the ugly and dirty places. You are jealous of her!" She said. I felt my face growing hotter, she was right. I was jealous of Lucy. She got a new and amazing horse, she can compete in the YENT because Saturn is not injured. She was getting the things that I most wanted. If she makes it into the YENT I would be devastated-
"More riding and less talking!" Elizabeth said cutting me off my thoughts. "Trot." She ordered us. I drummed my heels on Lightning's dull sides but I couldn't make him move. Lucy who was trotting right behind me got in front of me and turned to look at me. "Move it!" She snapped and returned her focus on Saturn. I finally got Lightning to trot and Elizabeth thold me that I was posting on the wrong lead. I checked and she was right. How embarrassing! That was a beginners mistake.
"Beginners mistake." Alison said as if she had read my mind.

Jumping was the wort part, not only for me but for Alison. Yes, Alison.
Elizabeth instructed us to take a few jumps and Lucy went first, she had an acceptable round. Then it was my turn. I asked Lightning to canter and circled him so that we could take the first jump. I was strides away from the first jumps and I felt the white horse try to duck out. I tapped him with my heels and managed to get over the jump and I completed the next when Lightning learnt that I was boss and that I was not going to let him run out.
When it was Alison turn and each of us got a surprise.
Alison cantered towards the first jump and Felix lifted off the ground. Her aids were invisible and she was a good rider, it was in the last jump when we changed our minds.
Felix took off from too far and knocked the rail, it wasn't his fault, Alison didn't get the striding right. When they touched the floor, Alison mumbled
"Stupid horse!" And yanked the right rein and ordered Felix to do it again. All of our mouths dropped open. She was a very harsh rider. In their second round, Felix touched a rail but it didn't fall, but Alison was going to make him do it again. Right before the first jump Elizabeth charged forward and grabbed the light gray horses rein forcing him to stop. She was angry.
"Dismount." She told her with a sharp voice.
"You can't tell me what to do." Alison countered.
"Now!" Elizabeth said just a little softer than a yell.
Alison dismounted, left Felix in the ring and stormed off.
"I'll go get her" I chirped as I dismounted and left the ring in search of Alison.
I left Lightning in his stall and found Alison in the tack room chatting on her phone.
"Um, Alison." I said awkwardly.
"Yes?" She snapped.
"Elizabeth needs us for a meeting" I said. Alison gave a dramatic sigh and we walked to the skybox where we would be having the meeting. I stole glances at Alison and saw her face, she always had the same expression, a mad one.
In the skybox Elizabeth gave us a lecture about being a horsewoman and she banned Alison corporate riding the next day.

I was grooming Mandala in her stall after grooming Eclipse and I overheard Lucy and Alison talking.
"She is sooo rude! She thinks that she is the best rider and she knows it all." I heard Alison say.
"She does know lots of things" Lucy said.
"If she knew how to ride she wouldn't have an injured horse! And besides, she has beginner mistakes" Alison countered.
They were talking about me. I had to start riding more. Just because Mandala is hurt doesn't mean that I can't ride Eclipse. I was going to work hard with Eclipse to prove Alison wrong. I am a good rider, and, Mandala would be better in a couple of weeks. After that we were going to put Alison down of the podium.

Hi everyone! I am sorry for the long chapter. In the next chapter Alison and Amber are going to compete for the best rider.
There are  few chapters left but I am thinking of making it longer, tell me what you think in the comments. I will be releasing the sequels cover soon!
Love you! Byeeeeee ~Lilaph
