Jealousy ~book 1 in the Flying Change series~

Birth day!

The next day I woke up late, I showered, changed into my riding clothes and went down stairs for something to eat. The fridge had a note that said Happy birth day! Come to the stables where we will meet you! -Love Jess and Mom' I was confused but I went there anyways. When I goth there Jess and my mine were standing by the side of a trailer they I did not recognize.
"Happy birthday Amber!" They said in union.
"Thanks" I replied
"Ready for your present?" My mom asked
"Yes!" I said.
A man came out of the truck and opened the door, inside was a black horse with a blaze and four socks I was already in love!
"Hello is a little green, and we thought you would like to train him to be a jumper with your free time at the stable!" Jess explained.
"OMG! I don't know what to say..." I stammered "Thank you so much!"
"How are you going to name him?" Jess asked eagerly.
"I don't know. I was thinking about Eclipse. What do you think?"
"I like it!" Jess said.
"Okay, lets take him to his new stall" I said.
I put Eclipse in his new stall with plenty of shavings and I hung a hay net so that he could eat, I was going to ride Mandala and later I would try Eclipse out. I worked on dressage with Mandala, I knew that I was a jumper but dressage was the foundation of riding. I washed Mandala off and cooled her. I was tacking Eclipse  up when heather rolled in and sprinted towards me with a bag in her hands.

"Happy birth dat Amber!"she squeiled

"Thanks, but its not a big deal." i said

"Of course it is silly! Now open my gift" she said as she shoved the bag into my hands.

I opened it and pulled out a bridle, I ran my fingers over the supple leather.
"It beautiful!" I exclaimed "it will look wonderful on Eclipse too," I said still admirering the fancy bridle.
"Eclipse?" Heather asked confused.
"It was my parents birthday present. They gave him-"
"You can explain later" she told me "now take out the other present"
I recurrently agreed and pulled out a sky blue saddle pad. I pictured how it would look on Eclipse and I loved the picture in my imagination.
"Thanks Heather, you are the best!" I leant over ang gave her a big hug.
"Now, do you want to go for a ride?"
"C'mon!" She said as she ran of to tack up Zeus.
I put in my new bridle and saddle pad on Eclipse, he looked gorgeous!
"Jess! We are going to ride, do you want to join us?" I called to my sister
"Um, maybe later!" She called back from Wizards stall.
I went to the indoor ring where I found Heather already warming up.
"So that Eclipse." She said
"Yes!" I replied
"Wow." She said
"He is pretty but green." I explained
As soon as I mounted, Eclipse bolted. I hung on and when I stopped him he let out a few bucks.
"I am starting to think that they sold you because you are cold backed" I muttered.
About twenty minutes later I realized that it wasn't they he was cold backed, it was that he was full of energy. I figured that no body rode him. When he was getting tired he was a pretty good horse, he listens to me and responded properly to my aids. He was also fast so, if he ever got to be a good jumper, hello would be handy in the jump off. I cooled him and untacked him, the new sky blue saddle pad was now covered in black hairs.

The rest of the day ran smoothly, it turned out to be a good birthday.
