What's up guys? Only here to say hi and remind you that any art I use isn't mine, because I'm a horrible drawer. Bye!

Amethyst and Peridot's POV: Third Person

Peridot and Amethyst were sitting together on Peridot's couch watching college football. Amethyst had raided Peridot's pantry and found chocolate covered pretzels. Peridot was eating potato chips.

Amethyst yelled at the TV when a whistle was blown. "Unnecessary roughness my ass! He barely touched him!"

In Peridot's opinion, it was an obvious call. But she just nodded along with Amethyst as she continued cursing at the screen.

They watched the screen intently until the game finished (Gem University lost because they missed a field goal, ugh). Amethyst turned the TV off then sat to face Peridot.

"Hey, guess what's in a couple of weeks?" Amethyst smiled.

Peridot knew what was in a couple of weeks. She could never forget her best friend's birthday. She even already knew what she was buying her.

"Hmmm. Isn't it Christmas Break?"

Amethyst frowned. "Yeah, but what's in exactly 14 days?"

Keeping a straight face, Peridot questioned, "Wednesday?"

"So... you don't remember?" Amethyst asked with a hurt expression

Peridot rolled her eyes and smiled. "Of course I remember, Amy." Amethyst smiled, before

Peridot responded, "It's a full moon that night."

Peridot started laughing and Amethyst punched her arm. "Okay, now I know you're joking with me."

The blonde rubbed her arm. "Ow. And yes, I am. So what do ya wanna do for your day of birth?"

"I dunno," Amethyst shrugged. "Nothing really."

Peridot stared at her friend in disbelief. "What?"

Amethyst made an awkward face. "I don't really wanna do much."

"It's your sixteenth birthday, Amethyst!" Peridot yelled. "You have to do SOMETHING!"

Amethyst gave her blonde friend a blank expression. "Woah, chill out P-dot. All I really want is something low-key. And besides, its not like my dad could afford to throw a giant party for me."

Peridot laid back on the couch, thinking of ways to celebrate Amethyst's birthday. Then it hit her.

Literally. Amethyst had thrown a pretzel at her head. "Hey, earth to Peri."

Peridot faced Amethyst with a wild smile.

"Woah, what's that face for?"

"Lake!" Peridot yelled out. "We should go to the lake!"

Amethyst froze, thinking out the idea. Although she would love to, the idea of Peridot spending even more money on her made guilt sweep over her.

"Now, I know what your thinking," Peridot started, "but this won't cost me any money. We already own a nice lake house!" Peridot spread her arms apart for extra drama.

Amethyst thought. I mean, if it doesn't cost her any extra money...

"Come on Amy, it'll be fun."

Amethyst sighed. "But what about my brothers? What about my dad?"

Peridot smiled. "They can come too! Please?"

Peridot's answers were high and quick; she was really trying to convince Amethyst into this.

Amethyst's mind raced. It is a good idea. Her whole family could go, along with a few other friends. Plus, Peridot wouldn't have to be alone at her house the whole time.

Amethyst always felt horrible for Peridot during holidays. Her parents were NEVER around, even during Christmas. Yeah, she was loaded, but poor Peridot was always left alone by her parents.

Amethyst had tried to invite Peridot over for Thanksgiving once, but that was an absolute mess.

Amethyst's family is a little, well, crazy. When she brought Peridot over, everyone started

assuming that Peridot was her girlfriend. It started with a lot of questions, but slowly to slurs and threats against Peridot. It quickly turned sour, so Peridot excused herself and got a driver to take her home.

Peridot and Amethyst talked it out the next day, and swore to not bring Peridot around Amethyst's extended family again.

Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Peridot and Amethyst are both gay, but they'd never had feelings for each other. They were best friends, and that's all.

Amethyst did want to go to this lake house..."Fine, I'll ask my dad," Amethyst finally answered.Peridot jumped on the couch and pumped her fist in the air. "Yes!"

Amethyst smiled. Hopefully her dad says yes...

Hey guys! I hope you liked this chapter! To make this clear to Amedot shippers (I love y'all too) this is a lapidot story. Nothing happens between Amethyst and Peridot in this story. Other than that, I hope you have a great day!
