Shizu...chan?

"Coming!"

The following morning, there were various-not to mention annoying-knocks on the informant's door that had bothered the raven to no extent. Now he was finally getting up to go see what the person wanted.

Izaya groaned as he jumped out of his spinning chair and strolled over to the door. He opened it slightly ajar.

Standing there was none other than Shizuo Heiwajima. He was glaring at the ground, but once the flea opened the door, his head snapped up.

"Ah, Shizu-cha-"

"Before you say anything, I have something to ask!"

It sounded like he was choking the words out, or reading them from a piece of paper, because he certainly didn't look very-how would you say-courageous. He had also pulled on a nervous expression.

Izaya raised his eyebrows. "Yeah? What is it?"

"Well, let me come in first! Don't you have any manners?!"

Izaya smiled at his recognizable behaviour. He moved aside and let Shizuo come in, who sat on one of his midnight black couches. As Shizuo quietly admired his furniture, the raven made himself a quick cup of coffee.

He sat down directly across Shizuo and took a sip from his cup. "What is it? Something about Tom? You'll have to pay me, you know."

"N-no. It's not about Tom. It's just-I just wanna-I, uh-I don't know how to do this but," Ikebukuro's Monster sucked in a deep breath, then exhaled, looking less stressed. "I'd like to take you to Russia Sushi?" It came out more like a question than it could've ever had.

Izaya tilted his head.

He suddenly had a flashback about how in high school, he was constantly bombarded by girls asking him out.

But Shizu-chan?! Was this even a date? Or was he just being...nice?

No no no no no NO. He was NOT being nice. Not to Izaya Orihara! They've hated each other for so many years! 8 years straight, to be in-fact.

"Excuse me?" Izaya answered slowly as he nervously put down his cup of coffee.

"You heard m-don't make me repeat it!" Shizuo yelled back, his face flushing with embarrassment and a sudden feeling of shyness. Am I actually doing this? He thought. Shizuo Heiwajima asking Izaya Orihara out to a date? It sounds crazy enough.

"W-WHY?!" Izaya blurted loudly. "I mean-is there a reason?"

Shizuo cringed. This very question was what he was afraid of. What was he supposed to say? Shinra told me to so that our Operation M.I.F.P can work and I'm only agreeing to do it because he's paying me?!

Definitely not.

The blonde's head was rammed with thoughts and questions, but he knew he had to think of something-quick. He could see the seed of doubt sprouting across Izaya's face. "B-because I-"

He suddenly stood up, leaned over the table (not spilling the coffee, thankfully), and pressed his lips on the raven's. He could easily feel Izaya's face warming up.

He let go almost as soon as he started, and threw himself back down on the couch, his heart thumping. "Because I love you, Izaya Orihara."

The next thing you knew, Izaya and Shizuo were eating together at Russia Sushi.

Izaya tried to eat his sushi decently, but tears kept making their way to the corners of his eyes. Izaya absentmindedly blinked them away.

Was Shizuo actually in love? With him? What did he do to make such a sudden event? All he ever did was cut him, nothing more. Then it hit him.

The kiss!

It was the kiss from when Shizuo was "drunk" at Shinra's! It had supposedly made The Fortissimo fall in love. With his flea.

Izaya's head began to feel heavy with thought until one came crashing into his mind like a train.

M.I.F.P.

That's it, he realized. It was Shinra or whoever that probably ordered him to do this. But why? What'll Shizuo do with him?!

But Izaya, being an informant, knew he needed evidence. He couldn't just say something and then tell himself it was true.

After the eating, Shizuo and Izaya went out, and the older male surprisingly (or maybe not!) offered him to an amusement park. Izaya accepted.

It turned out to be one of the best things he'd ever done.

On their way back to Izaya's apartment, it had started to rain, so the two lovebirds dashed to the apartment, bursting into random laughter every 2 seconds.

Shizuo had enjoyed it so much, he forgot he was on such a mission.

"I can't believe you almost slipped in the rain!"

"Well I can't believe you actually jumped on that roller coaster! It looked like a killer."

They went on and on, snuggling against their towels.

"Hey, where's Namie?" Shizuo suddenly said.

"...I don't actually know. Now that you mention it, I do wonder where she is. Let me call her for a seco-"

"W-wait!"

Shizuo, and the rest of the M.I.F.P, all knew that Namie had left her cellphone at home for that very reason.

"Yeah?" Izaya turned around, holding his cellphone in one hand and a mug of hot green tea in the other.

"So... Will you go out with me?"
