"My name's Kyohei Kadota. Remember? I'm your Dota-Chiin." Meanwhile, the rest of the group spent forever trying to get Izaya's memory back. First, though, they were all going to introduce themselves, starting with-Dota-Chiin.
Izaya shook his head numbly. He couldn't remember a thing! But he had to agree, Dota-Chiin was a cute name.
"Goddamit," Kyohei sighed as Erika piped up.
"I'm pretty sure you won't remember me, but I'm Erika Karisawa. Forget that, though! Don't you remember your lover, Shizu-"
Walker attacked her mouth with his hand. "We can't tell him about Shizuo! He'll remember everything and then he'll wanna commit suicide or something!" He hissed frantically.
Erika nodded quickly, removing the hand that felt as though it were taped to her mouth. "Yeah, but his lover Shizu-chan wouldn't allow that!"
"I'm Walker," Walker said, taping his hand back on Erika's lips, and not bothering to mention his last name.
Togusa felt the same way. "I'm Togusa."
But Kida felt more eager then the rest. Izaya had to remember him, for he brought so much pain to the teenager that the blonde decided he wouldn't allow the informant to forget it.
"I'm Kida Masaomi! Remember me?! I'm the one you called Masaomi-kun! I'm the one who went to you begging for help but you continued being a douche!" Kida had raised his voice, and Mikado patted his shoulder to relax him. Anri had to leave because she couldn't stop the crying.
Izaya was just left highly confused. The one he was really thinking about was that random blonde who had kissed him... For some reason, that person's lips felt so right against the raven's, that Izaya was beginning to crave it as he licked his own lips. Besides, the blonde's kiss had washed a wave of memory over Izaya, as if they'd met before. And maybe they had. "Who was the blonde one?!" He suddenly blurt out. He couldn't help it though, his curiosity was getting the best of him.
The former-informant watched as everyone's faces either went pale or their pupils went small. "What? Is he a criminal?" Izaya tried.
The group of people surrounding him all shot each other looks, and then they oddly huddled around Mikado. They murmured and muttered, and Izaya cupped his hand around his ear to try to hear better, but they kept him out of earshot. Then, Mikado parted from the crowd, and slowly took a chair and sat down next to Izaya. "Listen," He said, his voice soft and gentle. But Izaya didn't need to be told twice. "That blonde guy's name was Shizuo Heiwajima. He... Had a lot to do with your past..." So, Mikado, not telling one lie, filled Izaya in through the past 4 years. He explained the Operation M.I.F.P, and the way how Shinra was actually paying Shizuo, and Shizuo actually did love him. He read Izaya some of the apology letters, which made Izaya's eyes tear up a bit.
He felt stupid for almost crying at such a ridiculous thing-
No, no, He thought. It's not ridiculous. It's real life, for mother's sake.
Mikado smiled. "It's kinda hard to take in, isn't it? Not knowing anything about your past?"
Izaya nodded numbly.
"But there is one thing I'd like to ask," The teen's voice carried on softly. "Is there anyone you remember?"
The raven thought hard. He contorted his face and squeezed his eyes shut, balling his hands into fists. Then, his eyelids flew open. "Yeah!" He burst out. "I remember Mairu and Kururi and my family. And Simon from the Russia Sushi place, too!"
The entire group (maybe except for Kida) beamed. "Thank god!" Kyohei groaned in relief.
Mikado's fingers were already flying across his cellphone, dialling Simon's sushi place. "Yeah? Simon? Izaya needs you. Yes, he's woken up! You need to get over here. He got amnesia and can't remember a thing except for you and his sisters."
And, 5 minutes later, Simon was right there next to Izaya. He immediately burst into a grin and embraced the raven in a gentle hug, dabbing the corners of his eyes. Izaya hugged him back, frowning hard to keep his own tears from waterfalling down his cheeks.
Simon pulled back as he continued to grin. "I am sure you have gotten a lot of rest, Izaya, my friend."
The former-informant burst into fresh tears when hearing the familiar Russian accent. He nodded his head and wiped his eyes with his sleeve, for he was unable to say anything, overtaken with emotion.
"Я по тебе соскучился (I missed you)," Simon said through his smile.
"Ja toghe (Me too)." Izaya laughed happily. The group of people lay in the silence for a second, but Erika was the one who broke it. "So do you still love Shizu-chan, Iza?? Do you, oh, do you?!"
Izaya flinched, having a wave of memory once again wash over him at the mention of the name Shizu-chan. "Y-yes," He answered hesitantly. "Why not."
"Because," Togusa started as Erika cheered, along with Walker and Mikado. "He totally got you into a coma."
"That was 3 years ago," The hospital patient smirked.
"Hey, Izaya," Simon bubbled from his direction. "What is that? Is it a..."
He pointed to the gorgeous ring on Izaya's finger. "Engagement ring?!"
