( Tom's POV )
After much debating with myself, I knew I had to help them both. There was something Zach was hiding that I'd only just figured out. I had to get to them.
Just as I reached the dungeons, I see Sky rammed into a wall. Loki and I both shouted at her. When I reached her I could see blood forming on the side of her head. She uttered a few words before blacking out completely. I grabbed her gently and took her out of the cell so she wouldn't be injured further.
I looked up to see Zach and Loki really going at it.
( Loki's POV )
Zach threw himself through midair at me, grabbing a handful of my long, black hair.
I took my fist and with a great amount of force I used my magic and green shots fired at him slamming Zach into the ground. "Ugh," he said, struggling to get up and breathe.
I threw one of my daggers missing him by a long shot, until I realized he was blocking them, while whispering unintelligible words. I didn't know what he was saying, but I knew it couldn't be good.
Everything in this moment slowed down. It was as if everything in the room sounded magnified. I turned to my left seeing Sky lying there out cold and helpless, wishing so badly it was I who was there to heal and confort her instead of Tom. I now know one million percent she's THE ONE. After all this is over I will marry her, and make little Loki babies with her. I only snapped back to reality when I heard Tom in the distance shout " Loki! Watch out!" as my own dagger was racing back toward me, flying through the air, Zach behind holding onto it, with the darkest, most evil expression I'd ever see on someone's face. Now that's saying a lot.
My heart pounding, I could hear my rapid breathing amplified. This is it. I"m...over. He's won, or so I thought. The dagger stopped just short of my heart. Zach's face turns funny as a sword is shoved roughly threw Zach's stomach, and standing behind him holding onto the sword...Mr. Tom Hiddleston. I was so much in shock the only words I got out were. " I never thought in a million years...I never knew Mr. Nice had it in him."
"Neither did I," he smiled, standing there looking like one of his own Shakespearean heroes.
Tom then gave me a hand up. Zach of course was dead. The battle finally over. A new start to our new lifes.
It was Sky we were worried about now, although I knew she'd make a full recovery with the healers help in no time at all.
"Uh, Loki?"
"Yes Tom," I answered, as we slowly wandered down a candlelit corridor.
"Even though Zach is no more...I still have some news to deliver, I thought you should know.
There was an awfully long pause until I nodded my head once to continue. Anxious to hear whatever he were to tell me.
"There's a reason Zach was harder to kill than a normal mortal."
"Oh?" I was intrigued now.
"Yes, I found these in his room. I'd searched it not long after I left the healers looking for something, anything that could lock him away in Asgard for good. These are books of dark magic. Much darker than even yours. He's the king of Dark Roots, and has be given the power to command and raise the dead, well of course not anymore.
"So that's why he was speaking words I'd never heard before. He was calling for his army."
"And did he succeed?" Tom asks worried, raising that single eyebrow.
"It appears no." I shake my head, a half smile implied.
"Wow, well that solves that worry then." He breathes a sigh of relief.
"Tom, I want to thank you for what you've done today. You've proven much braver than I've thought, and...I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"For distroying you life and Sky's. For what it's worth."
"Thank you," he said, wrapping his arm around me, "but you know what...I think I'm going to be happy here, after all, and together we'll MAKE IT RIGHT."
The End.
Epilogue to come.
So that's it. I'm so greatful to every. single. one. of. you. who read this! I'm so proud of this story because it's the first time I've stuck with a story and actually finished it. It's a huge accomplishment for me, and I couldn't be happier with it! I've loved every second of writing it, but stick around because these characters still have some life left in them and a story to tell. I'm already working on a sequel. Thank you all again!
