(Loki's POV)
Of course deep down in my mind, body, and soul, I knew that I could never hurt Sky. I loved here with every fiber of my being, and I believe her when she says how much she loves me. So I've thought a lot while she sleeps comfortably in my arms, that I can forgive her for wanting me dead. As for Tom and Zach, I won't be so merciful.
Zach already hates me so punishing him would be a pleasure. Tom had crossed a line, so I'm breaking our agreement for just this one night. They'll never know what hit them.
I snuck out of bed and put up a clear sound proof wall to shield Sky from any outside noises she may encounter. I tested that theory by screaming as loudly as possible. She never even flinched. It was perfect, she was perfect, and once she finds out what I've done she might be angry, but I'm the king and I shall do whatever I think is right.
Opening my heavy wooden doors, I saw that the coast was clear. Quickly, I led myself down the long palace hallways until I spotted the first guard that I could see.
"King Loki." He kneeled. "What can I do for you?"
"I need you to take Zach and Tom prisoner. Now would be the best time as they are I presume, sleeping. Tell them nothing. Leave the rest to me. I'll be in touch."
"Yes sire. You have my word. I shall gather my men quietly now."
"Excellent." I couldn't help the sudden rush that sprung to life inside me. Those two were in for a rude awakening, as the mortals say.
(Tom's POV)
I was so tired, completely worn out. The thoughts in my head were dizzying. I had one candle going, that I eventually blew out, before taking off my shirt and falling face down on top of the bed sheets, unable to lift myself up at that very moment. My eyes began to slowly shut, but my mind I couldn't get to turn off. Rolling over I made my way underneath the soft, warm sheets, nestling in.
I had clearly fallen asleep, but for how long I did not know. I awoke startled as I saw light coming from underneath my door. Not moving, it lingered for quite some time. I was frozen in fear, hiding under the comforts of my blankets. What's going on? I thought. After several long minutes the light source ceased, as my breathing became normal yet again. I shut my eyes and turned onto my side, at this exact moment five Asgardian guards came bursting through my room, shouting at me to get up. I must have been in shock. "Why's this happening? What did I do?" I began to speak slowly, trying to form a coherent thought, but I go no answers.
Refusing to move, one grabbed my right arm, another my left. Two more guards did the same roughly to my legs. I kicked and screamed, and punched as best I could. " Loki! Help me! Where are you taking me?" I was scared and desparate for answers. The fifth guard shut my door. They rushed me down long corridors, and we soon ended up in a dark place, with grimey, dirty gray castle brick walls. They thurst me into a tiny room without any light. then I heard a steel door close and lock. There's only one place I could be...the dungeon, but why?
I sat for many hours. It definately had to be the next day by now, though I couldn't tell due to the lack of light. I heard screaming and shouting coming my way, from what sounded like a relatively short distance, and was soon met with none other than Zach.
When we were once again alone I asked, " Do you know why we're here?"
"No." he replied in a rather chilling, evil tone. I wonder what I've done to make him dislike me. I'd hardly really ever even met the guy. I decided not to push him for answers, and kept to myself.
"Tom? How long have you known?"
"Known? About what?"
"Sky and Loki."
So that's why he disliked me. He'd thought I lied to im and infact I had, but only because Sky ws a great girl and I wanted to see her happy.
"Oh-I don't know, couple of months I suppose. It was before you left for Midgard. She came to me...confided in me."
"Hmm," was his response. "There was a time I thought we were on the same side, fighting for the same cause...now I realize it was wrong of me to think that. You should know I'm going to kill Loki, so now you and Sky have been warned. If you try and stop me, I'll come for you too."
"Oh really? How interesting." I heard someone say, but it never came from my mouth. No, those words belonged to Loki.
I watched as he stood outside our holding cell. With a flick of his wrist light came out of his fingers making the place glow around us, and it stayed that way. The cell door screetched as he made his way inside. His boots stomping across the cold ground.
"Tom, Zach." He nodded toward us both. "You naughty, naughty boys. He gave a small malicious laugh. "It has come to my attention that I have from the very beginning been plotted against, and wanted dead, and while this doesn't surprise me...it can't go unpunished either.
"But Sky..." Loki held his hand up to shush me, "Is just fine Tom. No harm will come her way, I can assure you. I love her." I believe he did. He might not be the good guy, but when it comes to Sky, he's her hero. Whenever he talks about her, or looks at her, it's like his mind is far away, and empty, and it's only filled with love. She makes him happy, worthwhile, and whole. I can stomach my punishment as long as he's good to her. Zach was who I was more worried about and focused on. I knew after this ordeal the real battle would begin, and the way Loki was looking at me like he could read my mind, means he knew it too. Let the show begin.
