(Loki's POV)
Today was the day! The day I've been planning and dreaming of for quite some time. Soon, these humans will come to understand who will rule them. I shall be as fair as I can, but not tolerate disobedience.
"Sky," I took her hand in mine. "This day will go down in history. Everything will work out according to plan." I could see the fear cosume her eyes. "Did you get any sleep at all last night?" I stroked her perfect face lovingly.
"Not much. This is not in my nature. I'm not cold hearted. I'm to compassionate. I-I cannot do this to people Loki." She was becoming hysterical.
"Come here." I ordered her gently. I took her hand, leading her onto my chambers balcony. "Stand here. Look. The day is beautiful. The sun is shining, the birds are singing. Things are good. You'll soon see."
After that things started to calm down. We needed to make our way back to Midgard and collect Zach. I made the decision to teleport us both back, instead of taking the rainbow bridge. This time when we landed, Sky's expression wasn't as open to her surroundings as when she'd first viewed Asgard, and that, I was sad to see.
I kicked open the door. "Zach, it's time."
"Well, look who's in a cheery mood." Zach said mockingly.
"I might be cheerful, though I'm still in no mood for your sarcasm. Today is a major day. We need to get ready for the premiere."
(Sky's POV)
Loki had pre-planned my dress and there tuxes for tonight. Mine was a forest green dress that stopped just above the knees. The lower part princess like. Sequins glittering in the mesh fabric. It was chosen because it would match the green Loki cape when he revealed himself.
Zach was tucked into a classic black tux with a green hankerchief slightly popping out of the pocket.
Loki also wore a black tux with a green undershirt and a green bow tie. I must admit he did look sharp.
Upon arrival, it was all I could do not to try and jump out of the car. My nerves set on overflow. Loki held onto my hand the whole car ride. By now he'd shapshifted himself into Tom. Oh how I wished this was a dream I was bound to wake up from, really on the way with the real Tom to the real movie premiere. No. such. luck. As we got closer, I could see all the fans screaming to catch a glimpse of there favourite hero, or in Tom's case, supervillain.
I knew in the back of my mind, this day would be everything, but, normal.
Loki seemed excited, pumped, ready to get it going. He gave my hand a light sqeeze. I felt the car slow to a stop, knowing this was where we'd make out exit, and what I wished was my escape. Zach remained calm, although I knew on the inside he was seething and nervous, though he masked it well.
The sound of the crowd was deafening. Loki stood out proud and tall, taking me by the hand, holding me close. Zach followed closely behind. Head bowed. I'm sure some of the people were wondering who Zach and I were. They'd know soon enough.
Loki took his pictures, very much playing the part of Tom to a T. I wouldn't have known if I were them. Loki gave me a muted glance signaling the start.
I watched him slowly make his way to the top of the podium. These people no doubt thinking Tom was giving them some sort of send off speech. Everything to me seemed slow motion. I was savoring these last few minutes.
"Hello everyone and thank you for coming. This film has been long awaited. I'm so pleased Loki has so many dedicated followers. I only hope in a minute that continues. Ladies and gentleman. Mortals and peasants. I'm afraid there won't be a movie showing tonight after all."
Now I could hear gasps and silent whispers, concerned, while trying there best to figure things out like it was a riddle.
"What do you mean?" A young woman cries out.
"Well my dear. You see, It'd be a lie. I never made this movie. Tom did. In fact, where I'm from we don't even have them."
Someone else from the crowd shouts, " I don't understand Tom!"
As my eyes dart over the crowd, finally landing on Loki, I no longer see the masked version of Tom, but indeed the real Loki.
"As you can now see, I'm not your beloved Tom. Though I can assure you all he is perfectly safe where he is."
I thought they'd run away screaming, but they weren't. It was silent. A few were crying. Others in shock. Maybe it'd just take a minute to sink in.
"I am Loki of Asgard, and as of now I'm your new and improved ruler."
He looks directly at me and my heart skips a beat.
"Sky, Zach, come."
Loki held out his hand for me as I shakely find my way up the stairs, but once I was up there and looked around I suddenly didn't feel scared at all, but...empowered! Loki continued to talk and scare the masses. By this time the Television crews had appeared and he was plastered on every T.V. screen and heard on every radio station in the world.
I knew it was wrong, yet as I watched him I couldn't help but be amazed, as I became drunk with his power. I felt myself wanting to feel the power as well. Just seeing him take control like that make me realize that I not only had given in and wanted him in every way possible, but I wanted to reign with him as well. This certainly was a change in events. I never expected this for myself. I was as mad for power as he was, and by the look in his eyes, he knew it now too. I only hoped Zach hadn't caught on. At least not yet.
"Citizens of the world! Loki began again, Kneel, and this time unlike your so call Avengers movie, you not only will, but you'll stay that way without the help of any outside heroes. GUARDS!" Soon, by the masses thousands of Asgardian guards decended to our spot, towering over the fragile humans.
"Line them up! Men, woman, and children! Till I decide who will be placed where. Some of you will go back home and live accordingly, some of you will be taken back to Asgard to live there as I see fit, some Asgardians will be brought here to live. We're all one now, with one true ruler. You may join me willingly or forcefully, tis your choice. You may come to me with your worries or troubles and I will, may take pity on you and fix your pathetic problems, hopefully. There will be new rules to follow. I'll address those tomorrow. For now, I will retire to Asgard for much needed rest. I will see to it my guards do there jobs right. Come my love, tonight we shall celebrate."
"Yes, King Loki, that we will!
Before I knew what I was doing I stood on my tippy toes, grabbed his face in my hands and kissed him rough. I decided to declare my love and let the whole world know this...was my man, and for once I'm beginning to think I'm gonna like this.
