I pulled up to the location that Hank and Connor had been at, seeing as it was a homicide case. These case's got a little harder ever since the deviants. Hank and I can't ever tell if it was a human who killed the other human, or an Android that killed a human, and vice versa. It was a little easier with Connor, except the fact that he licked all the evidence. Which constantly had to make either me or Hank yell at him.
I got out of the car, grinning as I walked up to them. "My two favorite partners," I said, walking past the police tape. "We're your only partners," Hank said, smiling as he turned to me. "So, homicide? Who's the victim?" I asked. "Her name is Madison Meyer, she was 36, 5'3, and has red hair. She lived alone, and had never owned an Android in the past." Connor explained, and I nodded. "Alright, let's go see how bad is it," I said, and we all started to walk in. As we were, Hank stopped me, and put both his hands on my shoulders. "You're getting worse (Y/N/N), are you seriously sure you won't want to consider the surgery?" He asked me, and I nodded. "I don't want to lose the feeling of love just from this, and this isn't as bad as the last few times." I said. Yes, I have suffered from this more than once, and it was always shitty. But what can I say? I fall in love too easy. "But you'll be worse soon, and soon, you'll die," Hank said, his eyes filled with fear.
Hank and I have known each other for years, working together many times. We considered each other friends, and even though he'd constantly get drunk, especially after his son, I always had to help him. I never minded, as long as he finally decided to sober up. For now, he still drinks, just not as much as before. Connor has been trying to help me get him sober, but it's still so hard. "I will be okay, I promise to you Hank," I said, putting my hand on his shoulder. He nodded, sighing. "You better be, I can't lose another person I care about." "You won't," I said. "Lieutenant Anderson, Lieutenant (L/N), is everything okay?" Connor asked, standing outside of the door. "Yes. Everything's fine. Let's see what happened here." I said, starting to walk in, having Hank follow me.
We looked around, seeing the dead person laying in a pool of their own blood. "Jesus, that's a horrible way to go out," I said, covering my nose from the smell. "They have been for about 3 days," Connor said, standing up from kneeling around. "Hey, he didn't lick any evidence this time," Hank said, and I should've looked away when this happened. Connor looked to us, smiling a genuine smile. I had to smile back, but then, I felt a cough coming up. I held it back, turning myself away. "(Y/N), are you okay?" Connor asked, Hank now turning to look at me. I nodded a bit, the cough once again trying to force itself out of me. "She's good, just needs the bathroom, right (Y/N/N)?" Hank asked and I quickly nodded. "We'll be back," he said, quickly walking away with me as he found the nearest bathroom. He closed the door behind him as I hit the ground, coughing and soon, throwing up dahlias into this random persons toilet. Hank knelt down by me, and I could feel his hands pull my hair back away from my face.
"Jesus fuck (Y/N), is it seriously that bad?" Hank asked, and I coughed again, a few more petals coming out before I finally sighed, sitting back as blue petals and blood stuck to my face. "Even the damn thought of him gets me fucking throwing up all over again," I said, reaching and flushing the toilet. Hank let go of my hair, standing up and grabbing one of the towels. "Thanks Hank," I muttered, wiping off my face as much as I could get. Hank pulled off one petal from the side of my mouth, and put the towel on the floor. "He almost saw it," I muttered and Hank nodded a bit, sighing. "Do you think he knows?" I asked as I looked over to him. He just shrugged. "So far, from what I know, no." Hank said. "Let's still keep it a secret."
