*Alberto's POV*
Bob and Steve got a fire started while Logan was assessing our food situation. Me on the other hand, I was setting up everyone's sleeping bags on a flat ground.
" Alberto! Come on we're going to eat! " I heard Logan called. I jogged around the jeep to a little circle of rocks and logs Bob had dragged in around the fire.
" What are we eating? " I asked with a smile on my face.
" Soup! Any preferences? " Logan asked.
" What kind of soups did we buy? "
" We have chicken noodle soup, spicy creme chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, cream of crab soup, - " Logan stated but I cut him off.
" Cream of crab? " I asked laughing as Steve started to giggle with me.
" I'm not gonna eat the same 3 soups. I brought a wide selection of the ones that taste good though. " Bob said.
" I'll take chicken noodle soup thanks. " I told Logan.
" Great any sides? " Logan asked jokingly.
" I'll take crackers with my tomato soup! " Steve said raising his finger giggling.
Logan came back with our 4 cans of soup and put them near fire to warm up. Everyone was silent as we just watched the fire glow and crackle. The night sky was covered with dark clouds from today's loud thunderstorm which made it REALLY dark around us. I looked over at the lake we crossed with frozen ice, staring at the fire's reflection I started to zone out.
*Bob's POV*
Everyone was so quiet, I would speak up but that would probably not be okay. Just then Logan started to open our soups with the can opener as Steve watched. Then I remembered. I got up and ran to the jeep turning on my phones flashlight and rummaging through the boxes I had packed at my shelter.
" Bob what are you doing? " Logan asked. I found what I needed and walked back to my spot with a few small bottles in my hands.
" What'd you get? Are those spices?! " Alberto asked smiling like a kid as I nodded. I wasn't about to eat bland ass soup. Well it wouldn't be bland but of course I'd like to eat it according to my taste. I put the bottles around so everyone can take it if they wanted it. Logan handed everyone their soup while I hand everyone a spoon. Logan and Alberto were eating chicken noodle soup, Steve was tomato soup with crackers and I was eating creme of mushroom. everyone took turns seasoning their soups and started eating.
" So like....this feels weird. " Steve said smiling like a beaver.
" Well yea we've never done this before. " Logan said eating his soup.
" We've never done what? " I asked.
" We've never had Bob bust into our history class before beating up the terminators saving our butts and running away in a jeep, We've never had Bob shoot anyone with a gun, We've never had Logan jump onto a moving motorcycle from a moving jeep, I've never sonic blasted anyone before,We've never ran away before, Steve's never made chemical weapons before, Bob's never made a flying motorcycle before, We've never seen a thunderstorm like that before, and we've never been chased by a huge ugly grey fish before! " Alberto said waving his soup around.
" Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill. " I said casually. " We've done all that now haven't we? " I said smirking.
" We've done everything illegal Bob! " Steve said.
" Oi I paid for the stuff we got got at the store that's legal. Besides what legal thing have you done Steve. " I said chuckling.
" We never would've gotten into this if Bob didn't go to city hall in the first place. " Logan said
" If I didn't go to city hall we never would've found out Kevin was still out there! " I said.
" How are we even going to find Kevin? " Alberto asked.
" Well Kevin isn't just gonna chill at one place, I'm pretty sure he'd explore. " I told Alberto. Everyone was quiet for a while until Steve started loudly slurping his soup.
" Look on the bright side guys! At least we don't have anymore homework! " Steve said making us chuckle. My eyes started to wander off into the lake. it was really dark but it still glistened with whatever light it caught. Then my eyes feel upon a bright green glow beneth the water behind a few rocks. It would be easy to miss if you did't look properly. I got up from my seat taking y shoes and socks off as everyone turned their attention to me.
" Bob what are you doing? " Steve asked.
" You guys think the monster is asleep? " I asked ignoring Steve's question.
" OOh my god Bob's going swimming. " Steve said with a derp face making me laugh.
" No you idiot. Just watch. " I said as I rolled my pants up to my knees.
" What are you doing Bobby? " Logan asked.
" I see something in the water. " I told them as I started to walk along the shallow water to the rocks. The water was lower than my knees as I bend down to grab the bright green glow. Under the water, I felt something hard and rough, Like some kind of rock. Pulling it out I rinsed it with the water to show everyone. It was roughly a diamond shaped aqua green crystal the size of my hand. I started to walk back through the water moving left and right as Logan closely watched me.
" Look guys it's a crystal!.....I think. " I said waving it around as Logan followed my movements.
" What kind of crystal? " Alberto asked.
" Dunno..." I said as Steve touched it.
" Gimme the crystal Bob. " Logan said as I handed him the crystal. Logan walked towards the water and sat by the edge waving the crystal in different directions as the water followed.
" WOoooooaaaaaaahhhhh! It can control water!!! " Steve said amazed as Logan face palmed. Then Logan walked towards the fire and moved the crystal in different directions as the fire followed.
" WOOOOAAAAAH, it can control fire too! " Steve said with a huge smile.
" No you idiot it controls wind! " Alberto said giggling.
" Thank you! " Logan said as someone finally understood what he was trying to show.
" How do you know it's wind? Hhhhmmmm? " Steve asked as Logan just looked at Steve ad waved the crystal at Steve.
" UWAH! " Yelled Steve falling off the rock with a gust of wind as I started cackling out of laughter.
" Yooooo let me try! " Alberto said as Logan handed him the crystal. Alberto waved it at me whipping me off my rock as everyone laughed.
" OI! " I said.
" I wanna tryyyyyyyyy! " Steve said as Alberto handed Steve the crystal. Steve waved it towards Logan but instead of Logan getting the wind Steve ended up putting the fire out and it was pitch dark around us besides the glowing crystal.
" Oops. " Said Steve snickering.
" Nice going STEVE! " Logan said grabbing the crystal.
" its really dark anyways guys lets get some sleep. " I said heading over to the sleeping bags as everyone followed. We all got in and zipped up for the night. It was dead silent until I spoke up.
" Steve's gonna wake up in the water tomorrow. " I said.
" Shut the fuck Bob. " Steve said making me snicker
