The Storm Breakers

*Steve's POV *

            It's not fair! Why does everyone get all the awesome things. Like I'm the coolest person here! I just got last pick on the crystals. I knew I should've picked that black one Bob grabbed off the Storm Runner, but God knows what kind of trouble that can bring. I'm stuck with this muddy green crystal. It help's ,e talk to animals and insects though. So I'm not all that lonely. Once everyone else got their crystals they all left to see what they can do with em. I made new friends with a fly though. His name is Marmaduke.

            I decided to walk around after being so bored. Looking up I saw Alberto. He was high, high up in the sky. To my right I saw Kevin and Logan having a snowball fight. Some snow was jus frozen in mid air while Logan was trying to figure out how to reverse his actions. Where was Bob? Looking around me I didn't see him. Good trouble was far away from me.

*Bob's POV *

            "Perfect! " I said holding up a short thick stick like it was my prize, and it was really! I had been searching for about half an hour for the perfect sticks. I got a long stick for Alberto, and a short one that I can hold in my hand. Don't get me wrong, I mean I did see what that deep red crystal can do and it's pretty sick; but I'll keep it lowkey for now jus so Logan doesn't think I'll blow up the entire place. Putting everything down beside the jeep, I started to pull out dry grass from the ground. I don't even know if it was grass or not from how tough it was. twisting it, I started to tightly braid it pulling on it making sure it was as tight as I could possibly make it. After about half an hour I had enough rope. It wasn't that thick but it was the right thickness.

"So buddy what have you been doing sitting here for an hour while we were working our butts off? " Logan asked as he came and sat beside me.

"I was making rope. " I told him.

"Why, what are you going to do with it? " Logan asked as he examined the fine rope I had created from a mere dried up plant. I gathered the sticks I had found and my two crystals. Motioning Alberto to come down and Kevin to come to us I started to explain.

"Wait where's Steve? STEEEEVEEE! " I called out as I saw his beaver butt run towards us.

"I knew you guys were making plans without me! " He said catching his breathe.

"We called you over before Bob could even start. " Logan said shaking his head.

"So we're going into a boss battle tougher than any video game you guys have ever played. " I started.

"I don't play video games. " Steve said.

"And that's why you're boring. " I said holding back my laugh looking at Steve's 'shocked' face.

"I made this rope so we can keep a tight grip on our crystals. " I said as I showed everyone the two sticks I had found.

"I want a long staff! " Alberto piped up.

"And that's why I got a long stick. " I said pointing my finger. Taking Alberto's windstone crystal, I began to fix it onto the longer stick wrapping it up with the rope I had made.

"We'll hide our crystals and take the Storm Runner by surprise. The look on his face when I rip off his sorry mask. " I said.

"If you rip off his sorry mark. " Logan interrupted.

"Is that a challenge? " I asked raising my eyebrows with a smirk.

"Is it? " Logan asked back smirking on his own.

"Don't get too cocky now guys. What were you saying Bob? " Kevin asked.

"I was thinking we could hide the crystals under our jackets sleeves. and control our shit like badasses. " I said as I pulled on the rope with all my might securing it tightly to the stick which I handed to Alberto.
