* Steve's POV *

It like the middle of the night or something, and I was freezing like crazy. I got up and put my hood on and buried myself into my sleeping bag. The sky was kind of blue but still dark so I think the sun was rising. I wonder what time it would be. I rolled over to Bob who was rolled up like a burrito. How am I supposed to know what time it is. I quietly unzipped Bob's sleeping bag, then I grabbed his hand and slowly pressed the button on his watch to turn on a blue light so I can see the time. It was like 4:17 am in the morning. I think. SO I rolled back and scared myself being face to face with Logan. He was still asleep though, so that's good.

My stomach grumbled and I tried to make it quiet but it just got louder. I guess it was breakfast time. I quietly got out of my warm seeping bag. It was sad to leave the warmth of my beaver dam, but a beaver must eat. I tried my best to make as less noise possible while I unzipped Bob's bag and looked for the jeep keys. There was so much random stuff in Bob's bag, I finally found them in his small pocket. I should've looked there in the first place. I went to the jeep and pulled on the door forgetting to unlock it....but it opened. Oh my god so I did all that work to get the keys for nothing. Why would Bob even leave it open. Well...it's not like anyone's gonna hijack our car out here. I thought was I climbed to the back and searched for a snack. I turned the jeeps light off inside so the others wouldn't wake up. It was dead silent at night there was no sound but the wind. I found some brownies and started to eat them while looking at the white stuff on the mountains out the window. There was some on the ground too. I wonder what it was.

After I finished my snack I climbed out the jeep locking it and looked around. The huge puddle in front of us wasn't moving....I think it was frozen, did it really get colder than a freezer out here? I grabbed a rock and tiptoed towards the puddle. Then I threw the rock at the puddle and it cracked. I think. The sound was really loud, but no one woke up, so I did it again grabbing another rock and throwing it at the puddle. I couldn't really see much since it was still dark, but I did see some cracks. The my eyes went to the white stuff on the mountain, there was some on the ground too. So I grabbed a rock and threw it at the white stuff. It didn't move or crack or anything, it just stayed there the way I threw it. I threw another one and the same thing happened. So this time, I grabbed a stick and carefully, cautiously walked closer to the white stuff. Standing far enough, I poked it and then ran away. Nothing happened. So I went back and crouched down right in front of it. I saw that the stick had left an indent. I lifted one of the rocks I threw and saw it left and indent too. Then I saw that there was some white stuff sticking to the rock and I threw it away startled. I stared at it for awhile and then I finally got enough courage to put my hand above the white stuff. I didn't really feel anything. I really didn't want to touch it so I decided to go back to sleep since I was freezing to death. I quietly sunk back into my now cold sleeping bag with a mild case of hypothermia. Yawning I eventually fell back asleep with the sun beginning to rise.

* Alberto's POV *

I opened my eyes and was greeted by the sun. Like usual I squinted and pulled my sleeping bag over. Hearing my shuffle, Bob woke up looking around. He looked warm with his hat and hood and fluffy mittens.

" Yo what time is it? " I whispered over to him.

" Like...7. " Bob whispered back.

" Are we going to wake up? " I asked.

" Do you want to wake up? " Bob asked me back as I quietly laughed. We both sat up looking around us until Bob sneezed a few times.

" Bless you. " I giggled as he thanked me.
