As much as I wanted to stay home tonight, I couldn't. I already promised the others that I would show up no matter what. They'd even pick me up before the party.

*Get ready, we'll be there in 30.* A message was sent to our *Double L* group. Double L because of the double Ls we all have in our names, or rather nicknames. Ally, Callie, Olly, and Malliah. Don't know how that was possible but I had a feeling we were destined to become friends.

After what happened today with Shawn, I kept wishing that I hadn't said anything at all. Made everything worse than what it would have been if my focus what on the project. But as stubborn and childish as I was, I couldn't shut my mouth.

*On our way*, another message was sent by Ally.

I was almost ready, after I put on the basic rose dress that showed my shoulders, topped it with the thin jacket that I had planned to keep on all night.

My makeup was decent, not too much but not too boring either. And it was the first time in a while that I didn't have to do anything with my hair. The bun I had earlier, created small waves to my hair.

All of the sudden, I hear them honk a few times before I ran down to the car. And thank god my dad was on his night shift, otherwise, he would have let me stay in if he knew where I was going.

The drive was 10 minutes of us jamming to Payphone by Maroon 5. We could literally just continue driving through the night without stopping by the party, and it would've been one hell of a night. But no, they wanted to go to Miles' party.

As we walked towards the party, I could recognize two familiar faces by the entrance. Alex and Trey. ''Oh I ain't going anywhere tonight'' Olly whispers as he noticed them.

''Welcome, welcome, welcome guys, get some drinks, get drunk get dinks. Have fun.'' Trey said. ''Oh and hey Malliah! Miles would be happy to see you here.''

I just smiled as I was confused at why he would mention that, especially in front of the others. And why just mention my name?

The house was crowded, but it was huge. People were playing beer pong, card games and some were sitting by the incredibly eye-catching pool in the back. The way everyone was sitting so close to each other gave me claustrophobia, that I had to get out and get some air.

''Where you going Malliah?'' Ally asked, as she just joined a team of beer pong with the others.

''I'll be back in a sec.'' I mouthed as the loud music almost knocked the words out of me.

To be honest, I wasn't feeling it, not tonight. A party, loud music, too many people, and may I mention drunk people. I wasn't in the mood.

As I walked out a random door to get some air, I somehow ended up in another backyard. There were a few people out there but not as many as there were in the house, so I settled down on the hard ground and leaned onto the cement wall. I felt like I'd be a party killer if I stayed with the others.

''You look like someone who could use a drink.'' A familiar voice appeared. As soon as I look up, I couldn't help but smile. He handed me a red cup.

''Hi Miles.'' I grabbed it as he sat down beside me.

''What is it?'' I smelled the liquor, but I had no idea what it was.

''Try it, you'll be surprised.'' He smiled. And he was right. It tasted like pure blueberry, with no taste of liquor at all.

''So Malliah. Tell me something about yourself.'' He asked after a while of talking.

''Well... I can tell you one thing.'' I look at him realizing my own truth.
