Chapter 16

1 year has passed since Keith rapped Sheteah. It also has been a year since Sheteah has last seen or heard from Woody. She's been trying to get in contact with him but his phone has been disconnected. Sheteah pressed charges against Keith and Michael and also has a search warrant out for them both.

"I miss him" Sheteah said as she looked at Nylah sleeping in her play pin.

"I know teah. We all miss him" Luke said rubbing her shoulder. "But I promise you he will be home soon"

"Soon. Soon. Nylah's 3rd birthday is next month. I don't want him to miss that. Luke i miss my husband." Sheteah began getting teary eyed.

"Breaking News!" The words uttered by the news anchor on the tv.

Sheteah and Luke instantly got silent and looked towards the tv.

"Keith Powers and Michael B. Jordan were found hiding out at a warehouse in New Jersey and will be getting flown to Florida for their court hearing for a rape charge that happened a year ago again local singer Sheteah" The news anchor said.

Sheteah looked at Luke and was relieved.

"Maybe Woody will finally come home now" Sheteah said watching Nylah sleep.

*One Month Later, a day before Nylah's Birthday*

"Still nothing from him.." Sheteah picked up her bag. "Can you watch Nylah until i get back? I have a show tonight please thank you".

"No problem lil sis" Luke kissed her forehead.

Sheteah then left and headed out to her show.

~Woody's POV~

"Luke wassup. It's Woody. I just got back in town. I couldn't miss my daughter's birthday" Woody said on the phone with Luke.

"Shit! Woody oh my god. Are you okay?" Luke said.

"Yes Luke i'm good. Where's my wife?" Woody asked.

"She had a show tonight so she's at rehearsal right now" Luke said.

"Okay well don't tell her i'm home. I want to surprise her tomorrow" Woody said.

"I gotchu man. Bye." Luke said as he hung up the phone.

Woody then drove to Sheteah's show and sat way in the back so she wouldn't notice him.

A hour passed before Sheteah actually started performing. Sheteah finally got on stage and started preforming a song that she wrote for Woody.

Woody sat in ahh the whole performance "look at my wife up there. I can't wait to finally hold that woman and not let her go."

*The next day*

~Sheteah's POV~

Finally everything is set up and ready to go and the guests are starting to come. If only her father was here.

While Nylah and Bryshere kids played in the yard with the games and everything Sheteah and the guys and their wives sat on the patio talking.

"Sheteah have you heard anything from Woody since everything?" Elijah asked.

"No.. but I wish he was here to see his daughter and celebrate her birthday with her." Sheteah said trying to hold back tears. "I just wish he was here."
