Kristoff runs as fast as he can, with Sven not too far behind him. As soon as he heard that Anna was ill, he immediately began to head for the palace, not even thinking to hop atop his pet reindeer. All that was on his mind was Anna, and getting to her side.

"Where is she?" He asks the nearest handmaid as soon as he enters the palace.

The handmaid doesn't even have to ask who he means. "She's in her room," she tells him.

Kristoff doesn't even bother to thank her. He continues to run, through the palace, with Sven still following. The residents of the palace have grown used to seeing the reindeer roaming the castle every now and then, so no one complains.

Kristoff and Sven rush down the hallways of the palace until they finally arrive at Anna's room, where they find the nurse, Olaf, and Elsa already there. Anna is sleeping in her bed, with Elsa sitting in a chair beside her and holding her hand.

"I came as soon as I heard," Kristoff says. He stares at Anna in her bed, and suddenly notices the chill in the room. He realizes that Elsa has become surrounded by her own ice, but it's just around her. He knows that her powers are more difficult to control when she is upset, but she is still attempting to conceal them... no doubt, for her sister's sake.

Elsa stands up, and walks over to Kristoff. "Can I talk with you?" She asks.

Kristoff glances back over at Anna, but nods in reply to Elsa. Sven walks into Anna's room as Kristoff and Elsa walk out in the hallway.

Elsa is still trying to remain poised and graceful, but Kristoff can tell by studying her facial expression that she could break at any moment. "Anna... she has the illness from Parynia," she says.

Kristoff looks down at the ground sadly. "Yeah, I know..." He says. "Um, how bad is it?"

Elsa hesitates. "It is progressing in the same way, and at nearly the same rate, as the outbreaks in Parynia," she says.

Kristoff closes his eyes tightly, unable to believe what he is hearing. Anna is the only girl he has ever loved, and he can't bare the thought of losing her. Being orphaned as a baby and raised by trolls, she is the only human who has ever really meant anything to him. Enough to bring tears to his eyes at this moment.

Elsa sees the tears in his eyes, and can't hold on any longer. The entire hallway suddenly completely covers over with a layer of ice, and the temperature drops drastically. With no one else to fall into, Elsa falls into Kristoff's arms. Elsa has become like a sister to him lately, so he doesn't mind.

The queen sobs into his shoulder. "What are we going to do?" She says through her tears. "I can't lose Anna, not again!"

Tears begin to trickle down Kristoff's cheeks. He can't lose Anna either, but there isn't anything he can think of to do. There isn't a known cure, and not enough time to find one. He feels so helpless, so lost...

     And Elsa even more so.

Rapunzel wakes up one morning to find even more blonde in her hair. Every morning since she discovered that one strip above her ear, she has woken up with more and more, and now her hair is not only almost completely blonde again, but is about shoulder-length.

Eugene comes up to her as she sits on the edge of their bed, staring down at the ground. "I can't believe this is happening," she says.

Eugene knows exactly what his wife is talking about. She has been very upset that her hair is growing in, but he honestly doesn't completely understand why. Just because it's turning blonde again, it doesn't mean that it will once again have powers. And even if it does, her powers were a good thing... in the right hands, that is. They could help so many people!
