CHAPTER FIVE (trigger warning there is violence)
As soon as the clock hit 12, the 7 of us were rolling out. Jin was driving the truck, Yoongi and Hoseok were riding street bikes in front of us. Taehyung was sitting quietly for once staring out the window beside me, Jungkook was in the front seat typing into a computer, and Jimin was to the other side of me polishing his knife.
My hands were on the seat in front of me, my chin resting between them as I watched the roads. Memorizing every street name we passed by, every freeway ramp and overpass. In the back of my mind I was wishing for this moment to last, the quiet and comfortable discomfort I felt in the car. But after 15 minutes, it was over, and a switch in my brain went off.
In training we called this time, the seconds right before you step out of the getaway car, the immortal minutes. These are the last seconds you are allowed to think you are human before you get back inside the car, once you step onto the earth's curves you aren't human, you are an immortal like being set out for one thing and one thing only, killing. Maybe my mind wasn't the average 20 year old female mind, but thinking about obsessing over "feminine" things made me want to gouge my eyes out.

My feet crunched the gravel beneath me, and my breathe was misty like oceanic clouds. The only heat emitting from my body was the anger in my chest. Jin said a few things to us before we walked up to the door of the house. I tuned the majority of his words out scoping the area, no neighbors, no street signs insight which mean no government camera, no street lights which means not enough people drive or walk out here for the government to see fit to spend money in this town, and lastly there was a gate surrounding the house. I could barely see what the house looked like due to the dark, but as my foot made contact with the door breaking it open the light pouring out of the television gave me a clear sight of the only thing I came here for. Him.
He rose to his feet and froze, his eyes were scanning for a weapon, but before he could reach the pistol laying on top the table I was at his feet. Kicking his knees in till they cracked and he fell. The boys were saying things, they were taunting him. I couldn't hear a single thing, someone else was in the house, I felt them.
I cocked my gun holding it in his direction. "Where is the other person?" His eyes widened and he looked even more frantic.
"Kris, he's a loser no one else is in the house." Jimin said as he walked up pushing the man to his back, before throwing a few punches at his face. I rolled my eyes and turn around looking down a hallway off the living room. A closet door was slightly open.
I made my way to the door pulling it open, inside held a small girl. She was maybe 15 her lips were bruised and her hands zip tied together. I quickly dropped to my knees using my knife to cut the tie. "Is there anyone else here?" She shook her head no before falling into my arms heaving and crying. She shook as I placed my arms around her fragile body hoisting her up into my arms.
"Wait here." I said looking to the filthy man sitting underneath Jimin's grasp. The boys watched with sadness as they say the girl, Hoseok's eyes held a fury I'd never expect from his calm demeanor. He began yelling, his dialect thick and his fist's heavier as the met with the mans face repeatedly. I carried the girl into the truck, I took my jacket off covering her shivering body.
