"I'm being shipped off"

Everything in life is fantastic. The diner is open and Reece and I went to the courthouse and got married. I adopted Shelby and the both of them moved in with me.

The twins will be one in about a month and a half while Shelby will be one in December. Reece and I have agreed that we don't want anymore children. Three's a crowd.

The doorbell rings and I run to the door. I pull it open to see Tyler standing their with his hands in his pockets. "I want to see my kids."

I nod and let him. "They are in the movie room watching Moana." He nods and leaves. I feel something bob into my leg. I look down and see a smiling Shelby. I lean down and pick her up. "Hello, cutie pie!"

I blow her a kiss as Reece blows through the door. I look at him as he cusses.

"What's wrong?" He looks at me and his eyes soften. He runs his hand through his hair and takes a deep breath. "Reece..."

"I'm being shipped off. I leave tomorrow." I stare at him as he starts to pace in the foyer. "I'm sorry, I just found out today, I'm so sorry."

"It's okay...we will get through this..." I wrap my arm around his waist to stop him from pacing. Reece buries his face in my neck and takes deep breaths. "I love you! We love you."

"I know, baby, I know." I squeeze tighter and Shelby pulls his hair causing him to groan. "I will be gone for about a year if not more."

I pull away from him and look into his eyes. "You're going to miss Shelby's first birthday..." He nods. "Okay...go get cleaned up so we can go out...before you have to leave."

He nods and walks away. I go inform Tyler about our plans and he leaves. I get the twins and Shelby ready then I get ready. The babies and I are in the car when Reece saunters out to the car.

We leave and go to a small pizza place and sort out the babies. I get their food and mine then Reece goes and gets his.

"So in a few days I have to go back to Desmond to check on the diner there..." I take a drink of my Sprite.

"Why?" I look at him as he hands Jax a pepperoni.

"Because I want to see how everything looks and make sure their not running my diner into the ground. Since Carli's parents back here I had to hire two more cooks and another server." He nods slowly. "The diner here is doing perfect and I have more than enough workers which I am glad don't get me wrong it's just they have concerns about every little thing."

"Why do they?" I raise a brow at him. "Why do they have concerns?"

"Because they're scared one of them is going to get fired. They're mostly concerned about the hours they work. I have one cook for an eight hour shift and then he switches out with another one. My waiters work eight hours and switch out. Most of them don't even ask for a day off...I have to force them to take a day off." I take a bite of my pizza. I look over at the girls as they naw on their pieces of bread.

"So is this what you're going to talk about when I call you from wherever?" I raise a brow and snort.

"No, we're going to have phone sex." Reece chokes on his drink as he looks at me with wide eyes. "Don't you just love me?" I take a drink and smile.

After dinner we went and go ice cream and then went home. I put the kids to bed and got ready to lay down with Reece. I feel his hands wrap around my waist. I look at him through the corner of my eye.

"I'm going to miss you." I lightly smile. Reece kisses my neck. "I have to leave the house by two in the morning. Don't worry about taking me. My friend George is picking me up."

"Please, be careful." I turn around and look into his eyes. "I don't want to lose you."

"I know and you won't lose me, ever. I will forever be here." He points to my heart and kisses my forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too."
