Rang Sly last night. As soon as I said it's Caroline he was like
- "Are you alright?"
Me – "What? Yeah I'm fine why?"
Sly – "This isn't an emergency?"
Me – "Well, yes kind of. It's for my essay."
Sly – "Caroline, I said to only ring in emergency's."
Me – "This is. It's due tomorrow."
Then he kind of laughed but sighed at the same time.
Sly – "Come over then. I'm about to have dinner if you want some."
So I instantly got my sneakers on and sprinted there because free food!
I told him about the essay and he said he felt honoured. I said Mrs Rosemary only gave us it because she wants his babies. Then he told me about what he did which was very boring and I only listened to about half.
He used to act in some American television show I had never heard of but moved to New Zealand three years ago to get away from it all and find 'meaning' in his life, whatever that means. Now he leads a bunch of charities or something. He makes appearances in shows and at events to raise money for his organisations. Then he started talking to me about his charities and how they work and how he gets paid which is where he lost me. Half way through he was like
- "Shouldn't you be writing this down?"
And I said
- "Don't worry I'm making mental notes."
Totally wasn't. Got too excited when he said free food and forgot to bring my notepad with me.
Then he asked if I wanted to come to a charity event in Wellington with him which is cool. Says I have to dress nice though which is lame. I don't have any nice clothes so he's going to give me money to buy something nice.
Then I went home and wrote the damn essay because it was due this morning. Got it in on time though. That doesn't happen often.
Other than that today was pretty boring. Mum still hasn't come home. She really should be back by now. I called her three times today but she didn't pick up. I know her phone is charged because it didn't go straight to answer phone. I think she's doing drugs again. That's the only reason she would be avoiding us. If she is boy she is going to get a firm talking to when she gets home. Especially from Jesus.
