The boys were at my house for a BBQ party, and all of them were posing for a picture. I was taking shots from my polaroid camera, laughing at the faces that were being produced out of it.
"Why don't you join the picture (y/n)? I will take pictures for you," Seungcheol suggested, taking the camera from my hands and standing right in front of the pool, my previous spot.
"Thank you," I exclaimed and joined the boys on the opposite side, positioning myself between Jeonghan and Mingyu.
"Do you want to do the honour of pushing him into the pool, (y/n)?" Jeonghan whispered in my ear, in between the pictures. I looked to my right to meet the cheeky smile of Jeonghan, eyes shining with excitement and mischief.
"Really? Why not!!" I agreed on the prank as we both exchanged giggles. The angelic Jeonghan was a devil after all, huh?
"Seungcheol-ah, (y/n) has a, um, surprise for you! Just stand there she will give it to you now" Jeonghan blurted out and I stared at him, shocked. Why didn't you give me a warning? But I didn't want to spoil the prank, so I composed myself, improvising.
"Um-Yeah, yes a surprise. Yes! Surprise for you. Just close your eyes and don't move!" I stuttered and approached him. I could see a slight tint of pink on his cheeks as he closed his eyes and waited, placing the camera on the floor.
I smiled to myself and looked back to see Jeonghan, showing me the thumbs up. The other members were confused, watching on. Once I reached Seungcheol, I hesitated, pausing as my mind raced. Will he get hurt? Will everything be alright between us after this? Will he hold a grudge? Why am I doing this to a guy I have liked for a long time? I inhaled, ignoring my mind, letting my excitement control me, trampling my sense. I stretched out my arms and pushed Seungcheol on his chest, just as he opened his eyes.
His shocked expression replaced with a sneaky smile as he wrapped his arms around me. We both fell down and I closed my eyes, waiting for the water to wash over me. My face was right below his chin, buried into his neck, my nose on his Adam's apple. My hands were on his shoulders, our bodies pressed closed together. The close contact with my first love, made my heat thump against my chest, a fast rhythm of 'thump-thump, thump-thump' . I could feel my cheeks getting warmer as I inhaled his scent and we went inside the water.
I broke free from Seungcheol's embrace and swam to the surface, gasping as the cold evening air hit my skin. I hugged myself, as I watched the guys guffawing with laughter, seeing my plan backfired. I glared at my brother, Mingyu and his laughter died down as Seungcheol surfaced.
"Um-Sorry for dragging you with me (y/n)," Seungcheol apologised, glancing at the guys.
"Then, this will be your punishment" I smirked, splashing water at Seungcheol. He turned his back to me, trying to avoid the water from reaching his face. He faced me again and that was when my heart skipped a beat, at the sight I saw.
His messy bangs reached his eyebrows, letting in sneak-peeks of his forehead. The water trickling down from them defined his features more , emphasising his breathtaking beauty. His dark brown eyes exhibited a warm yet mysterious glow, alluring you to him. His reddish-pink lips were glistening with the water on them, making them look soft and beautiful. His skin was smooth, reflecting the moonlight of the night. Who is this beauty in front of me? Wasn't he already handsome enough? I questioned myself, mesmerised and adoring his form.
Seungcheol took my trance as a chance of revenge and splashed more water at me. The sudden contact with the cold water and my skin brought me back to reality. I laughed as Seungcheol continued, a grin on his face.
"POOL PARTYYYYY!!!" DK shouted as he cannon-balled into the pool. I used my hands as a shield as the others joined in, sending water every-which-way. I could feel someone watching me and even without looking, I knew who it was, who it had to be. And when I turned around, I saw Choi Seungcheol, smiling at me, just genuine happiness shining from him. The corners of my mouth lifted up as I kept my eyes on him through the chaos happening between us. Maybe this was going to be the beginning of a story, a love story...
