long, straight white hair cascading down his shoulders.

a set of piercing, crimson red eyes resting amidst perfectly sculpted features. petal-like lips a soft cupid's bow, standing out from the pristine clear but pale, ivory skin.

the king and queen thought of him as their blessing, but the elders referred to him as the curse of the kingdom. the men either despised his valor or welcomed his prestige as the prince, the women shrinking away under his cold gaze or swooning over his ethereal looks.

blessing or curse, enemy or ally, he was a creature of wonder, a perfect balance between the perfection of mankind and the imperfection of albinism.

seungcheol stared at his other-worldly reflection in the mirror, self-pity overwhelming his heart at the sight of his red eyes and white hair. wandering fingers sifted through his thick, snowy wisps and a sigh escaped his lips, eyes downcast.

just as he was about to reach for the comb, a knock on the door put a pause on his actions.

"the son of true bone Kwon has come to pay a visit, your highness," a polite announcement slipped in through the slightly opened door.

"send him in," seungcheol replied before flopping down onto his bed.

"eyyo seungcheol!"

"you know I'm the prince of -"

"and you know that I'm your best friend right?"

"but still -"

"shut up with the royalty crap and let's go down to the forest,"

"hunting?" seungcheol asked eyeing his over excited friend.

"what else, picking flowers? what are we, nine?"

soon-young yanked seuncheol up by the arm, pushing him to the front of the closet. he took a step back as the younger wrecked his entire closet before pulling out appropriate hunting gear, matching with the own set he was wearing.

"gear up fast and by the way, the white horse's mine," he threw the gear at seungcheol before walking off towards the horse stalls at the back of the palace.

seungcheol grumbled to himself while slipping into his gear and followed suit in soon-young's direction.

the duo mounted on their horses, a glossy black, short-haired beauty and a gleaming white-haired beast while the palace servants prepared bows and arrows for the males. they then set off, horses trotting steadily through the path leading to the forests, palace guards on either side of the royals.

the troop halted in their paths when a brown horse crossed their path, blocking the small dirt road leading into the middle of the dense forest. a black-haired man around the same age as the royals stared blatantly at the duo, the horse saddle's rope gripped tightly into one hand. a younger female was seated on the horse, eyes widening once she realized the identity of her company.

seungcheol shifted his gaze from the male to the girl on the horse, making her immediately bow her head down with fingers gripping on to the horse's mane in fear.

the palace guards cleared their throat, expectant of a greeting to the true bones but the male just stared back expectantly, cocking his hips to one side before folding his arms.

"out of the way, mister" ji-hoon signaled as if to shoo a fly away, shaking seungcheol's cool front with the disrespect. the girl kicked straight at his back, earning a shrieky laugh from soon-young who then slapped seungcheol's back almost making him topple over his horse.

a small giggle escaped the girl's lips breaking the suffocating silence before she slapped her hand over mouth in shock. blood rushed to seungcheol's cheeks at the beautiful medley of delight from the girl, stalling his mind into a daze.
