Vernon's POV:

My eyes were plastered on the ball as hundreds of eyes followed it as it sailed through the air, passing the goal in one swift motion. The raptors went wild, deafening cheers and screaming and shouting that reverberated through my body. A smile broke out between my lips as I searched for the star player of tonight.

But instead of standing with her arms on her hips and admiring her work, Han was sprawled on the ground, motionless as the world around her roared in happiness and elation. The smile in my lips slowly contracted into a thin line as I waited and waited for her to sit up, but to no avail. My eyebrows knitted together as I pushed through the guys, jogging towards Han. I kneeled down beside her, scanning her half-dazed form. She wore a ghost of a smile on her face, eyes shut as she let out wisps of soft breath with great difficulty.

"Han?" I questioned, voice breaking out at the end.

No reply. Her smile left her lips, breath growing haggard and causing mine to catch in my throat.

Aiken's hand appeared on my right shoulder, followed by a soft curse. Calming myself down, I took off her helmet with shaking hands, to reveal a trail of blood trickling down her neck. The entire team had crowded around her, silence pregnant with anxiety. with a swift turn, Ryan left to look for medical help. Tears blinded my vision as my mind pictured the worse, frustration and anxiety blocking any logical thought.

"We should carry her-"
and before Ian could finish his sentence, I slipped my arms underneath her waist, lifting her up gently and cradling her carefully while holding her close to my chest. Her body was cold and stiff, dooming any little amount of hope that was flickering in my heart. The world whirred past as my eyes searched for the exit, running towards it with Han in my arms. A year glided down my left cheek when I skidded into the hallway, running off towards the school's entrance. The sound of sirens reached my ears, comforting my panicking hear a little. Ryan was about to run towards our direction before stopping in his tracks, huffing out slightly.

Our coach stopped to talk to is but I pushed past him, heading straight to the open doors of the ambulance. Two paramedics got out, spreading a stretcher on the pavement outside our school. I laid Han carefully on the stretcher, crimson blood slowly staining the white sheets. The paramedics took on from there as I stood there watching helplessly, the ambulance doors shutting close as it drove off and exited the school. My eyes tracked its path, as it disappeared from my vision.

My heartbeat resounded in my ears, blocking out any source of noise from the surroundings. My eyes focused on the plants lining the entrance as my mind blanked out, anxiety and anticipation coursing through my veins. My fingers ran through my hair again and again, attempting to console my distraught stay of mind.

Evan. God damn it, EVAN.

I charged to the field, fury and anger replacing my worry, pushing out new found adrenaline for me to run on. My feet felt the fake grass through my shoes and I reached in time just to see Ian throwing a punch at Evan, causing him to stagger backwards. Both of them scrambled at each others necks, the supporters chanting and aggrevating them further. Logical sense flowed through my mind as an ram rang through my body, causing me to lunge forward and straight into the fight. I used my body to shield Ian while separating the two who were clawing at each other like animals. I held back Evan, now with a black and blue bruise on his eye, while the Hyenas and Raptors pulled their members far apart from each other.

"You have to stop this bullshit. RIGHT NOW," I snarled at him unknowingly before backing up to see Ian.
