Cold blue hair, white snowy skin, a piercing set of hazel eyes. It was like my wild imaginations had taken form and came to life, standing, breathing in front of me.
"Hey, look I don't have time okay- just take this so that my mom won't nag at me anymore,"
The words pulled me back from my daze as he shoved the brown paper bags into my hands, turned on his heels and walked away from me.
"Angsty much?"
"Shut up y/n,"
"You don't have to be that rude you kn-"
and the door slammed shut as my eyes caught the last glimpse of his black hoodie and sweatpants, hands shoved into its pockets. Frustration built up inside of me and I slammed my door shut, turning my back towards him. Believe it or not, the rudest person that I had known for my entire life was my neighbor. He wasn't a bully or anything just a big meanie, with the sharpest tongue of the universe. And I had to be its victim every single time I step out of my house, on the way to work, or to the convenience store or anywhere we both ended up going together. Why? Cause our parents were best friends and we were expected to be too.
I sighed and placed the brown bag on the kitchen counter before entering my room. The notification bell rang form my phone and I picked it up.
Seungkwan -_- : Get ready by 9 am tomorrow. I 'll be giving you a ride so you won't be late.
Oh right, have I mentioned that I, unfortunately, turned out to be his PA too? Asisting him in his role of being the most successful businessman as young as 21.
y/n: Okay.
Time skip to 8 am next morning
I stood in of my closet, my eyes scanning through the pieces of clothing, pulling out a white, full-sleeved dress fell right above my knee. The sleeves were a lose fit, and the dress itself ended in a lose, single wave. I slipped a simple silver bracelet on my right wrist after curling my shoulder-length hair into beach waves. Putting on some light makeup, I slipped into a pair of light beige heels, slotting my valuables into a matching clutch. I stood in front of the full-length mirror, tucking a strand of hair behind my right ear for dangly, thin silver earrings to surface. I smiled contentedly, stepping out of the house and locking the front door. I reached Seungkwan's doorstep, knocking on the door slightly. It immediately opened with force and urgency, to reveal a prepped up Seungkwan, his usual piercing stare.
But his eyes widened a little and a trace of panic was evident in his eyes. He stood there for a few seconds, bewildered, just straight out staring at me.
"Seungkwan? We got to go~" I remarked and he snapped out of his weird trance. he attempted to reply but a few confused and weird noises stuttered out of his lips instead. He cleared his throat, adjusted his dark blue suit, nodded ever so stiffly before leading the way to the carpark. There was a little stumble in his otherwise elegant and stuck up walk and I almost snickered at this otherworldly behavior. I reached out for the door handle for the driver's seat when Seungkwan grabbed my hand. I looked up to him, wanting to find out what was causing this sudden change. He was standing unusually close to me, looking down at me with that breathtaking eyes of his. I raised my eyebrow at him before he let go of my hand and said: "I'll drive today, GIRLFRIEND,".
With that his right arm slipped around my back, turning me around and to the shotgun seat.
"We need to be like a couple today, y/n. I don't want to be INTERROGATED by those 'relatives' of mine. So, today, you're my girlfriend, not my PA," he explained, opening the door for me to get inside.
I sighed uninterestedly, finally finding out the true meaning of why I was tagging along with him. Aside from being very close family friends, I and Seungkwan had no other blood relation. Seungkwan got into the driver's seat and started to drive off, the familiar rumble of the Jaguar echoing through the neighborhood.
I fished out my little mirror, checking myself often, just in case there were any slips that went unnoticed.
"You're already beautiful enough, maybe you should put down that mirror and trust me y/n" he spoke out barely audible. I turned to stare at him eyes fixated on the road, but cheeks slightly turning a tint of pink. I smiled to myself, a giggle escaping my mouth soon enough.
"You will surely make a great boyfriend. You do know how to make a girl smile," I remarked, earning a ghost of a smile form him. And I felt my heart flutter once I laid my eyes on him. He looked simply stunning, an entirely different side of him shone through in my eyes. I wished he would smile more often instead of his cold, poker face that he wore all the time.
We reached the venue and I reached out for the door handle, but to be stopped again.
"Uh-Uh! remember what I said, I'll do it," he exclaimed letting go of my arm and scrambling to open the door for me. As soon as I got out, Seungkwan slipped his arm around my waist once again. My arms flew up to my shoulders, fingers balled up a reflex to this new change.
"Relax y/n, you'll get used to this soon enough," he whispered before grabbing both my hands in his and setting them by my side. I regained my composure and held his hand in mine, leading the way to the entrance. It was cold but soft, his big hand enclosing around my small one easily. A nervous feeling broke out at the pit of my stomach as I constantly reminded my troubled heart that it was all an act. Seungkwan, on the other hand, looked unbothered his usual self, exhibiting an aura of immense power, confidence, control and calm all at once.
"Here come the attacks, get ready princess," he whispered in my ear, tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. he smiled at me once again, before turning in front as his grip on my hand grew harder. I slipped my hand out of his and reached his back, patting at lightly as his arm slipped around my waist. I turned up to him as he looked down at me with a concerned look.
"Relax," I mouthed, smiling up at him, a sense of reassurance. Somehow, it all felt so real, so comfortable, to be his girlfriend showering each other with affection and care. He smiled back at me, before pressing his lips on my forehead, ever so gently.
