The rain was pouring down from the ominous clouds lurking overhead, the sound of the water droplets reaching the ground ringing in the surroundings. I turned my umbrella in my hand, fingers sore from holding them still for way too long. My other hand reached into my coat pocket, slipping my phone out of it to check the time. Thirty minutes had passed and my ride still had not arrived. I huffed out of frustration, as I continued observing my surroundings while letting my thoughts wander. The loneliness mixed with the cold air sent a shiver down my spine as I continued my reluctant way in order to reach home. A painfully slow two minutes had passed when I was met with some company. A tall man, clad in a grey suit with a white holding a navy blue umbrella came into my sight. Unlike any other stranger that I had crossed paths with thus far, I couldn't peel y eyes off him. Something about this man pulled me in, attracting me to him like a magnet. I continued my task of scanning him, focusing as his form became nearer and clearer to me. My breath caught in my throat as my eyes took in his breathtaking masculine beauty.
His skin was a beautiful complexion of golden and peach, shining amidst the dark surroundings. His eyes were a mysterious shade of umber brown, complementing his walnut brown that was parted at the side, away from his face. His walk was that of confidence, strong and long strides. His footsteps were audible as he continued approaching me, eyes occasionally glancing straight into mine. I forced myself to look ahead, straightening my posture as my whole body went rigid. He walked straight past me, not giving any sort of acknowledgment, sinking my hopes that were a little too high. A woody scent with a floral tinge followed him, a little getting lost to the surroundings.
The tapping of his shoes stopped. My head jerked up in his direction as the sound of gravel rubbing against the soles of his shoes filled my ear as he swivelled around to face me.
His eyes locked with mine, a slight trace of surprise shining in them. The tapping continued as he walked in my direction with long strides, a peculiar tinge of urgency in them. My heart raced as his steps quickened, umbrella threatening to fly away with the gust he was creating.
Soon he reached me, our shoes touching as he catches his breath that was gently blowing on my cheek. I looked up to him as he settled down his umbrella before joining with me under mine. His lips curved up, flashing his pearly whites, a smile that stole my already bated breath away as I struggled to hold.myself back from touching him.
Instead, his hand went up to my cheek, gently cupping it. I slightly flinched at the electric feeling that ignited a fire within me. We both still maintained eye contact as he patted his lips to a melodic medley of words.
"I have looked everywhere," he said, barely a whisper. A tone of happiness and relief danced in his voice as he smiled once again.
"Wait, M-Mingyu? You?," I gasped sliglty as memories flooded back. Disbelief and elation filled my heart as the yearning of feeling him next to me fuelled the fire into an even bigger one. It raged now, demanding for him as my eyes searched his. Slowly they settled on his lips. Smooth, naturally pink and simply, astounding. I tiptoed up as his breathing slowed down, getting deeper. His other hand went to my waist, helping me reach up to his height by gently supporting me. He leaned his face down as his eyes stared into mine before settling on my lips too.
And before I knew it, our lips were touching, my left hand on his shoulder and the other on his nape. He settled both his hands on my waist, now pulling me closer so that there was no space left between us. Body to body, chest to chest, heart to heart. The sound of gentle rain filled both of our ears, sooting our elated hearts as the loving kiss turned into a gradual, passionate one.
Our lips moved in sync, expressing the pain and love and care bottled up in both of our hearts, hands holding a tighter grip on each other. None of us wanted to stop, but we knew we had to, it was too early for any escalation.
Slowly you patted from his lips, a sweet and satisfying chu escaping from the end of your kiss. Mingyu searched your eyes once again, reading your heart and the unsaid words that you were screaming at him through your mind. He chuckled slightly before leaning in once again and pressing his forehead to yours, his lips pressing a kiss on the smooth of your forehead. Both his hands cupped your cheek as you watched him close his eyes, a gentle smile on his flawless face as he basked in bliss.
"Finally," he murmured as you laughed slightly at his remark.
Finally.
