The Day You Helped Him Through His Nightmares

"Hey, (Y/N)!" Sasha shouts. "Have you tried the new seasoning on these potatoes! It's to die for!"

"Well, I am eating a potatoe right now," I point out. "So...yes, I have tried it."

"Hey, we should go into town soon," Sasha says. "I wanna go to the new bakery."

"I wanna go to town too," Christa says. "Can I come?"

"Anyone can come!" Sasha smiles brightly.

I look away from my friends and search the mess hall for Levi. He didn't come to sit with me today, did he even eat? I decide to get up and go look for him. If I find him then I'll coax him into eating with me. He probably just got swamped with paperwork again.

"Hey, (Y/N), aren't you gonna finish your dinner?" Sasha asks me, giving me a hopeful look.

I look at her and give her a crooked smile, "You can have it. I'm gonna go look for Levi."

Sasha gives me the biggest smile I've ever seen as she grabs my tray and starts eating my potatoe and soup.

"Thank you!" Sasha smiles, her cheeks full of food.

I smile at her before leaving the mess hall and head to Levi's office first. He should be there, since he isn't in the mess hall. Unless he's cleaning something of course.

I get to his office and open the door without knocking. I am about to call out his name when I see him asleep in his office chair, piles of paperwork surrounding his desk. I roll my eyes and shake my head, with a smile on my face from his cute habits.

I walk in quietly so I don't wake him, when suddenly he starts squirming a bit in his sleep, murming something frantically.

"L-Levi?" I call out in a whisper, I go up and am about to shake him awake before he starts talking louder and begins to sweat. This time, I can tell what he's saying.

"(Y/N)...(Y/N), no!" I am intrigued by my name and am about to listen to see where this goes when suddenly a tear rolls down his cheek in his sleeping form. Now I know I must wake him. He must be having nightmares, he has told me about them but I've never seen him like this before and I sleep with him a lot too.

"Levi," I say, starting to shake him. "Levi, wake up!"

"(Y/N)..." He whimpers again. "Don't...leave me..."

"Hey, Levi! Wake up!" I say, shaking him harder until his eyes shoot open, he looks at me in shock.

"(Y-Y/N)..." He says again, only this time he's comscious of the fact he's saying it.

"A-are you okay?" I ask calmly. Instead of an answer, he just grabs me and pulls me into a tight hug. I am shocked for a second. Not a word or anything. He just grabbed me. I don't hesitate to hug back though. "W-were you having a nightmare?"

He doesn't say a word, just nods his head a little against my shoulder.

"I-it'll be okay," I tell him soothingly, as I rub his back. "It was just a dream."

"It wasn't a dream," he tells me, his voice cracking. "It was too real to be a dream."

"Do you want to talk about it?" I ask him softly. He squeezes me tighter but doesn't answer my question.

"No..." He eventually answers. "Just stay with me."

I've never seen him act so vulnerable. It honestly hurts me to see him like this.

Levi pulls away from the hug and looks at me straight in the eye, as I see his eyes full of tears.

"I just want to see you right now," he says as he leans in and kisses me passionately. "That's what will make me feel better."

"Well why don't we get you out of this uncomfortable chair," I smile at him sweetly. "Come on, let's get you to bed." I pull him out of the chair and drag him to his next door room. As he gets in bed, he grabs my hand and pulls him roughly next to him.

"I love you," he says as he places me on his lap and rests his chin on my head, cocooning me.

"I love you too," I say. "I just want to make sure you're okay."

"I'll be alright," he answers. "Just stay with me a little bit longer."

I smile and snake my arm around him, resting it on his back as I snuggle my head into his chest.

"I'll stay with you as long as you need," I smile.

"Good," he smirks. "Because I'll be needing you a lot."

"I'm good with that," I say, smiling, as I stay in his arms for the rest of the night.

A/N: I've written like a million scenarios this past weekend. I'm not publishing them yet tho (as I write this ya know) bc I just published a chapter the other day and I don't want to write too many updates at once. I read somewhere that that's bad. Idk I guess it could be. Who knows. But I got into a bad habit of updating once a week and I really want to update more than that. So Ima work on that. Maybe daily updates? Not everyday of the week tho bc thats too much work for me. But most days of the week. Who knows. I'll work on it but we'll see how far that actually goes.

Okie Ima go now, ya know after that big old rant. So peace out rainbow trout.
