Chapter 5:Witch day gone wrong

     The crowds cheered for me and I went to sit. I kept on wondering who did the magic and I couldn't guess who could do that for me.
    Other witches were giving us gifts,well,apart from me,no one gave me anything. I looked at the other girls,they've got many gifts,especially Laura.
  Aunt Audrey came to give me a gift too,it was a small box and when I opened it, it was a gold hairpin,the one I've always wanted. I smiled at her and she smiled too before saying, "it's not an ordinary hairpin,it'll protect you from those who mean to do you harm. Its a talisman that I forged as a hairpin".
     " Thanks Aunt"I said happily as I put it on my hair,it's really beautiful.
     "It looks good on you,why don't you go on and dance,it's your day,it won't come again" she said and I looked,to see that the other girls were already dancing.
     "Aunt,I'm bothered about something" I said.
     "What is it dear?" She said, now sounding worried as she looked at the place where Aunt Millie stood.
   "Aunt,are you okay?" I asked.
   "Yeah, just go on and dance and I need to see Millie" She said,still sounding worried, then she left.

  I shrugged it off and went to the dance floor. I was just swaying my body to the beat of the music,then I saw him, the most Handsome Man I've ever seen,I know for sure that he isn't a witch,He was coming towards me and I quickly faced backwards,pretending that I haven't seen him.
   "Hey,do you care for a dance?" Someone said and I turned and it was him. I smiled and said "sure".
  Minutes later we were dancing,then he started a conversation.
    " you look beautiful "
      "Thanks" I said blushing and trying to hide my face. He had an Italian accent.
      "Are you shy"
      "Hell no!!!" I said,shy for what?
        "I love your performance there" he said
       "Ohh Thanks" I said blushing "but you don't seem like a witch, what are you?" I asked
   "A warlock" He said and then I smiled.
      "Pardon my manners,I'm Vincent Giuseppe" He said in his perfect Italian accent.
    "Laura Jenner" I heard Laura say from behind me. "Your Aunt wants to see you urgently, she's at the cemetery" she completed.
   I looked at Vincent and smiled,then I left,to meet my  Aunt. Why would she ask to meet me there?.

   "Millie what nonsense did you do" I heard Aunt Audrey saying as soon as I reached the cemetery.
    It seems like Aunt Audrey and Aunt Millie were engaged in a heated argument. But the people inside the hall wouldn't be able to hear anything because of the loud music.

  "Oh!!,my lovely Audrey, are you enjoying the party" Aunt Millie said,sounding scary.
  "Millie,stop feigning innocence and tell me the hell you are up to" I heard
Aunt Audrey shouted at her.
  
    "What's good for everyone" Aunt Millie said. They were so busy in their argument that they didn't notice that I've been there for more than 5 minutes.

    I wanted to say something when Aunt Millie spoke again "something that if you don't agree to will cause you Ava's life". I halted in my tracks. My life?. Aunt Millie just threatened Aunt Audrey with my life?. Unbelievable!!.

    " Don't tell me its what I think it is"Aunt Audrey said.

    "It is and its for the best" Aunt Millie said and Aunt Audrey scoffed.

  "Whose powers did you channel!!!" Aunt Audrey yelled.

   "No one that wouldn't willingly agree,now would you agree and join me?" Aunt Millie asked.

   "Never!" Aunt Audrey said. "I'd rather die!"

    "Then die you shall,Audrey" Aunt Millie said.
  
     Aunt Audrey was pushed up in the air and she tried to put herself down. She then chanted something and Aunt Millie fell down. I don't know if she died or was unconscious.
  
   "Aunt" I managed to croak out. It was then that Aunt Audrey turned and saw me.
  
      "What are you doing here Ava?" She asked,shocked to see me.

       "Laura said you asked to see me" I said.

       "I didn't, but that doesn't matter now,we need to leave now" she said.

       "What about her?" I said pointing to Aunt Millie "is she dead?" I asked.

      "She's alive, just unconscious. She'll come around later" she said.
    "Where are we going?" I asked.

      "To the  human world. To Quebec city" Aunt Audrey answered and created a portal for us to leave.
