Chapter 16:Son

Audrey's POV

Its been a week since Ava was taken. I know that it was Millie's doing but I'm scared that the poor girl is going to be brainwashed.
I took a bowl and filled it with water,I tried to find Ava but everything was blank,like she didn't exist. She is still alive, I can feel her,if she were dead I would've known. Millie must've cast a recloaking spell on Ava.
I heard a sound like feet's shuffling from my back. I slowly turned back and who I saw not only surprised me, it send shivers down my spine.

"Emilio?" I asked unsure. He was dead, I mean he was supposed to be dead.

"Surprised to see me?....Mom" He said.

"Its you" I said.

"In the flesh,Mum" He said smiling as he dropped the vase that he was fiddling with and came closer to me.

"You look so much like your father" I said touching his face,I had to stand on my toes as he was a bit taller than me.

"Hn,but I didn't look like him when you threw me to die in doem" He said sarcastically, removing my hand from his face.

True,I left him in doem, but it was for the best. If I hadn't done that,Millie would've hunted him down till she killed him and I wouldn't be able to live with that.

"It was for the best, Son" I said, trying to sound as sincere as possible.

"I was tortured every day. I grew up with the thought that my parents didn't even need me. I thought that my Mother would've saved me,but then I believed that she was dead. I lived my life in torture everyday,until I escaped and assumed a new identity. I didn't know that you existed,until I got it,your gift. A child doomed to destroy his family. The destroyer. A very powerful witch and the only male witch in the Jenner's Family. But because of one stupid prophecy, I almost died. Now,its time to fulfil that prophecy and I'll start with you mother" .He paused and looked at me,then he continued "five years ago,I took another identity. " He said and smiled mischievously.

"I wanted you to be powerful,and together we'll rule the world,but you needed to be alive in order for it to be possible" I said,touching his face again,but he immediately removed my hand and my heart broke. My son didn't want me to touch him,My own son. He has no idea of what I did for him. The only solace I take is the fact that he is Undefeatable, Nobody can hurt him because I made him too powerful.

"Do you know that I detest calling you my Mother?,You left me to die in that cursed place. For 12 years,I was tortured for what even I don't know of. I will rule the world Myself."He growled.

I laughed. He has no idea how complicated everything has become. He has no idea that there are people who wants to see him dead.

" Sweetheart, you don't know what you want to go up against,you have no idea how many people are plotting your downfall as we speak now. You need me as much as I need you" I said and he looked at me with a puzzled expression and the expression vanished immediately and was replaced with a smirk.

"I know exactly what and who I'm up against" He said,the smirk never leaving his face.

"Your Aunt Millie, Your cousins amongst others" I said as I snapped my fingers and his suit straightened itself.

"I'm undefeatable" he said.
"That's because you have a portion of Ava's power, you have just one quarter of her powers, you have no idea how powerful she is. And your Aunt Millie knows that you are still alive,she almost found out who you are,but I stopped her" I said and he looked at me doubtfully.

"Ahhh!!,I see,the doting Mother as always,who does everything for my own good" he said laughing scornfully.

"I'll always do anything for you, I wish I could be with you,but certain people has made it their job to end you" I said and he scoffed.

"Millie?" He asked and I nodded.
"She is still searching for you,to kill you" I said.

"Kill Her and we can be together" He said growling and I looked at him surprised. He doesn't know that Killing Millie isn't easy as she is protected by the ancestors. If it were that easy,I'd have killed her a long time ago.

"I need more time please" I said pleading with him to see reasons with me. I can't kill Millie now,I need to absorb her powers first.

"Then kill the Niece!!!!!!,it'll be easier that way" He said and I looked at him in shock,its obvious he doesn't know what he's saying. I should kill Ava? Or is it Laura?,killing Laura would be easy,but that would be after I absorb her powers. She is quite powerful too.

"What!!!!" I shouted,shocked.
"Which niece?" I asked,unsure.
"Ava,your little toy" he said.

"I can't kill Ava,She is precious and far more powerful than you can imagine" I said.

"Far more powerful?!!" He shouted and looked at me menacingly.
"I am the most powerful witch ever heard of. You say she is Precious because while I was tortured in doem,you were busy playing the role of a mother to her. I will kill her myself" He said and made to leave when I blocked him.

"We can have Ava working for us!,then,we will be All_powerful, I'll make sure of it, trust me" I said and he was silent for a while before speaking.

"Fine,your Job is to ensure that she works for us else I'll end her myself" He said and vanished.

He sure has a lot of power. He inherited the Da Vinci's power. His father,Balducci Da Vinci was the most powerful witch at that time and the Jenners were also powerful,so I'm sure he inherited the power from the two families. And Ava's power also made him stronger.

The sound of the doorbell brought me back to reality. I wondered who that might be. It could be those annoying kids that came to look for Ava the other day. To be sure,I made a spell that made me see who was outside and I sighed in relief when I saw Ava. I've really missed her.

I went to open the door and she hugged me,I hugged her back and she started crying. I patted her back and told her "it's okay monkey,everything is fine now".
She nodded and sniffed before saying. " I have something to tell you Aunt ".
