"INCOMING!"

Bucky leaned bacn as an arrow hit the door, his head whipped around as Conner froze mid step as buckys eyes set on him.

"What did i say about shooting outside the range? Does my head look like a target to you?", he grabbed the arrow and oulled it out, handing it to a grinning annabeth.

"Kitchen duty for a week!", he said as he went down the steps if the big house, witch had just been finished, annabeth followed closely behind him with a clip board, her hand pulled into a tight ponytail, her knees dirty from building cabins all day.

Her jean shirts were filthy and her grey shirt had a tare in the back, but she grinned none the less, not ling ago percy had announced that annabeth was part of the camp council, along with percy, luke, clarisse, conner and travil, and a couple others.

"Annabeth, hows the mess hall coming along?", he took the clip board from her, "great! It'll be done by tomorrow night, but i had to move some of the campers working there into the strawberry feilds si we acutely have food to eat when we do have a mess hall".

She grinned as bucky flipped thiugh the clip board, "put the arena and armor on hold, we shouldn't practice fighting until we settle in, i dont want to stress out the others, tell luke-"

He looked up at the cabins, watched two kids lift a giant plack if wood and walk it over to a cabin in progress, "wh-"

He stopped, looking around, "wheres the bus?", annabeth dude a full circle, eyes dartinf around the feild in search if it.

"Charles Beckendorf might have taken it for parts?-","-what?", bucky whirled around and raced towrds the cabins, quicjly crossing the lake by flagging down percy, who was on a boat, annabeth and percy behind him he stormed into camp.

"Charlie ! ", he yelled into the half finished cabin, charles glanced down from his spot on the roof.

"Yeah?","what did you do with the bus!", bucky crossed his arms, "i didnt touch it", he said innocently.

"Dont play coy, if i find out you scrapped out only transportation im tossing you to the harpies", he barked and turned around.

He stopped in astonishment, cabins were nearly finished, the demeter cabin and athena cabin were done, standing proudly, this camp had come a ling wat.

Two weeks ago thalia was struck down, but now, a community had formed, thrived now, field if strawberries grew, campers chopped down trees and formed stabled and arrows and weapons all alike, all from scratch.

He motioned for annabeth and oercy to follow him, "i need the bus, its our only transportation, and ill need to travel to figure out what the outside world is up to.

"We can always take horses", percy said, annabeth laughed, "thats kinda shady, i think we should be discreet", annabeth offered.

"Find the bus", bucky pressed a hand to his nose, "make sure ots running, i dont care, find it while I-", a huge ripple went across the sky.

Annabeth and percy looked up sharply, bucky gripped his dagger, witch was strapped to his hip.

"Is someone trying to get into the camp?", percy asked, annabeth pointed towards the big house, "it looks like it came from between thalias tree and the big house".

Bucky began to walk that way, campers formed but he shoed them away, only motioning for luke and clarisse to join them on their way.

As they made their way towrds the edge of the sheild they saw people in the distance, he recognized two of the four.

"Well well, finally found me, took you ling enough".

Sam Wilson narrowed his eyes, "forgive me fir being hesitant for wanting ti confront the guy that threw me off a helacarier".

Natasha romanoff crissed her arms, "and shot me, twice", bucky ducked his head, a hand on the hilt if his dagger and a hand on annabeths shoulder, keeping her calm

He knew clarisse and luke were on edge, percy was calm as ever, "sorry, i wasnt exactly in the right head space", he said, annabeth shifted backwards until she stood behind bucky, she gripped his flesh hand.

"How many?", natasha asked, ignoringg the two agents behind her, "how many kids did you find in that hydra base?"

"To many", bucky stated calmly, "leave us be, we've done nothing wrong", "those kids need familys, homes", Sam argued.

"You cant keep them behind- whatever this is", Natasha looked at the invisible force field, "you'll never pass it, it was made for their safety", Bucky gkanced at a fuming clarisse.

"We do have family and homes", she snapped at sam, sam arched an eyebrow, "we git food and homes here, we're family, this is much more than hydra ever had, I'd rather libe a life here than a life where adults steer us around"

She punded a first into her open palm, "these feild are impenetrable, please leave", luke looked at bucky, who nodded in agreement.

"You cant hide from us forever", Natasha said hotly, "wana bet?", Bucky glared.

"SHEILD can fuck off, these kids deserve a chance to be kids, not be ouddy in SHEILD or hydras hands"

"We want to help , barnes-"," you can help by leaving", annabeth said, peeking out from behind bucky and percy.

"Please ", percy added, the two agents turned and began to walk off, sam and natasha glanced at each other.

"We'll be back, and we wont be alone", sam warned, Bucky gkanced at annabeth and percy, he out a hand on his dagger and gave sam and natasha a hard look.

"We'll be ready"
