Bucky felt content, for the first time in years.

He sat on the floor in front of the couch in the big house, annabeth sat criss cross behind him in her pajamas, a brush in her hand as she brushed his hair, luke and percy sat in front of him, both playing cards.

They finished a small meeting, the others too tired to leave.

Bucky held a book in his hand, he was reading slowly as luke and percy bickered over their game, clarisse say in camo pajamas by annabeths side, carving into a hunk of wood, making a wood knife.

He shut his eyes breifly as amnabeth gently brushed through his hair.

"Sorry!"

Becka oulled her hair brush back, "its ok, just be gentle", bucky said , rubbing his head where becka oulled too hard.

Steve laughed from his spot next to mrs.barnes, cutting up carrots for the stew.

"Shut up steve, before i come in there and choke ya out", bucky warned , "james Buchanan do not threaten in my house!", his mother warned

"Sorry ma!"

A loud bang pulled him out of his day dreams, he looked at the roof, the others went silent, percy opened his mouth and Bucky put a finger up the silence him.

He stood and went towards the stairs in a crouch, grabbing a knife of the table, he went uo the stairs silently, the others followed behind him silently.

He opened the attic door and stilled as a bang echoed around the room, he walked in a few steps and peered around a box.

He held the knife up ready to attack, a man was standing there, moving a chair with a dead lady on it against the wall, he turned and set a box down, he waved his hands and candles appeared on the box.

He placed a necklace on the box and stood up, the moon shun through the window and Bucky got a glimpse of him.

He looked like a young Owen Wilson, but with a longer nose.

Bright blond hair and sunglasses, a button up shirt tucked into jeans, he stood and motioned for the others to stay.

He moved swiftly and the man let out a shrill scream as bucky put the knife to his neck and grabbed his wrist , and locked them behind his back with his metal arm.

"Who the hell-", "chill! I come barring gifts!", when bucky said nothing the guy huffed.

"It is i- the great-", bucky pressed the nife to his neck, "fuck! Chill! Apollo! Im apollo!".

Bucky let him go and the guy turned around, holding his neck, "gods, when zues said you were protective i didnt think he meant-", Bucky pointed at him with his metal hand

"You here to take your kids? Cuz' we're gonna have a issue if-","-no! Im not allowed to, i came to drop off Delphi", he gestures to the body.

Annabeth and percy peered around the box, "a dead lady ? ", "eew!", annabeth and percy spoke in sync.

Apollo grinned at the two and luke and clarisse stood behind the youngest, weapons in their grip and eyes set on apollo.

"Why you giving us a dead lady?", annabeth tilted her head to look around bucky, "Delphi is an Oracle, and she can tell the future, but only for quests"

"Quest?", bucky narrowed his eyes, "if the world is in danger, the gods will need help", apollo explained, he patted delphis head.

"She'll tell you a series of clues to help-".

"The gods?", bucky crossed his arms, "why would we help the gods?", apollo seemed stuck.

"Because... We're parents-","-that abandoned them", Bucky snapped.

"We arnt allowed to be involved!","so you'll just let hydra enslave and torture your kids", apollos eyes flashed gold, "you think i want my kids to be hurt? To be hunted? I'd die if i were involved"

"Yeah, better them than you huh? You're IMMORTAL!", Bucky snapped, "buck!", Luke warned, eyes unsteady.

Bucky took a deep breath, "im upset. Because you want me to help the gods-","not just us, yourselves, if anything bad happenes and you need to send someone to do somthing, you ask her, she'll tell you what might happen"

Bucky felt his anger reside, "like a warning, a hint?", Apollo nodded, "ok, we'll help if we have to, on one condition".

"Hm?"

"I want to talk to the gods, i cant protect their kids if i dont know what to protect them from"

"Of course, Athena has been rideing zues' ass about that", he grinned, "i think she has a crush on you", Bucky arched an eyebrow, "she'll be here later to talk, but just a warning-"

"Any other god would have struck you down for the knife", he rubbed his neck, "then don't break into my house","i broke in so i can give you a gift!"
