Bucky and Percy

camp is born

Bucky was trained for these kind of situations, or should he say, winter was trained for every situation.

But He'd never seen a giant Cyclops before, loin cloth dirty, eye wide amd ugly teeth too big for his head, club big and clench in his giant fist, he swung and roared wildly at thw children.

The giant tore through the tents as annabeth thalia and luke ducked thriugh them, fear and adrenalin urging them to run away from the beast.

Bucky ran towards the three, percy was frozen in place, rain pelted the ground and bucky as he raced across the clearing.

luke bolted past him while gripping annabeths arm, Bucky snached the dagger Annabeth held in her hands as she was pulled along, the poor seven year old was crying and heaving in fear.

Bucky watched in horror as Thalia slipped on mud,then she slipped as she tried to stand.

She was on her hands and knees when the giant slammed his club into the side of her small body.

She flew across the clearing and bucky roared in anger and lept onto the giant.

He planted his feet on its legs and jumoed up, grabbed his ear, and with his other hand stabbed the giant in the eye, the Cyclops roared in pain and swatted at bucky.

Bucky gripped the ear with his metal hand and stabbed repeatedly at the giants face and eye, the beast shreiked in pain and finally ounched bucky off, but not before bucky landed a long sluce to its neck.

The giant hit bucky, but bucky gripped so hard that the cyclops ear tore off when bucky did.

Bucky hit the mud with a hwavy thump, he glanced and saw annabeth and luke huddling around thalia, who lied there limp.

Bucky felt a tiny hand on his shoulder and looked to see percy on his knees next to him, bucky sat up and held his metal arm in front of percy as the giant held his kneck and face while roaring in pain.

Then, by some miracle, lighting stuck the giant, it exploded into golden dust instantly, bucky stared in confusion as the club the beast dropped.

"Thalia! Help! Someone help!"

Lukes paniced tone pulled bucky out of his daze, he stumbled to his feet and walk/ran towards them.

He dropped to his knees beside thalia, percy stood behind him, annabeth sat on thalias other side, luke held thalias head in his lap.

"Thalia- thal-", bucky oatter her cheek and checked her pulse, it was weak, her eyes opened, heavily lided.

"Luke-", "you're gonna be ok, bucky is gonna fix you, he's gonna save you , like he saved all of us", Bucky mibed to feel for cracked ribs, she cried out and he jerked his hands away.

"I c-can't breath", she had tears streaming down her face, her breath went short as bucky frantically looked For blood.

"Thalia open your eyes", bucky demanded, "thalia stay awake", bucky snapped.

Thalias breath stuttered and annabeth took her hand.

"Thalia, family, you promised", she choked out, Thalia glanced at the crowd of students behind them, the ithers gathering, one of the babies whailed in the distance.

"Family, isn't... An F word", Thalia breathed out, her ither hand lifted uo and Bucky took it gently with bith his hands.

"I-im sorry- i was suppose to protect you", bucky pressed his forhead to their intwined hands,  "I thought by breaking you guys out if hydra was saving, i was gonna-",thalia weakly sqeezed his hand.

"-freedom- was what you gave us, you- g-gave us and chance to be kids, instead if hydra agents", she glanced at percy, "you cared about us when no one else did"

"You do save us, you...", bucky let out a broken son as he breath left, her eyes stilled and went lifeless, annabeth cried and luke threw his arms around annabeth.

"B-bucky?", percy pulled on buckys sleeve, through tears bucky looked up then down at where percy was looking, a glowing circle formed around thalias body.

He heard a faint crack, then withiut hesitation he grabbed percys under his arm and tackled luke and annabeth as the circle explided in a tornado if lighting, thundering echoed around them.

Bucky held the three in his arms as the ither children hit the ground and covered their heads.

Annabeth screamed and percy gripped bucky and looks arms closer, trying to curl into a ball.

Once it went silent bucky looked up, a giant tree had formed over thalias body, he looked up in awe as a huge ripple went over thei heads, showing a large invisible dome.

"What is that?", he said as luke and thalia pulled away to look up, annabeth rubbed a tear away from her cheek, percy gripped the arm bucky had around him.

"A sheild", annabeth said, looking at the blue sky, the clouds had cleared surprisingly fast.

"Zues made a shield for thalia", Annabeth confirmed as luke gripoed her shoulder.

"Mr. Winter?", a kid asked, they held a baby in their arms.

"Its ok- theres a sheild, no more giants can get in", he assured as he stood, aware if how dirty he looked.

Bucky looked up at the tree, and all the kids, "are we a camp?", luke asked, "a camp if humans?"

"No", annabeth said, "hydra said we're not humans", she sniffled and let percy help her stand.

"Half-bloods", bucky looked over the crowd, "camp half-blood, a safe place for- demigods", he remebered the words, zues, hades, Poseidon, he remebered that these kids were demigods.

Hydra was collecting demigods.

And the world didnt even know that greek gods existed.

Bucky looked down and ruffled percys hair, "I hereby pronounce this land camp half-blood,a safe heaven for demigods, and if any student is harmed under its protection, then the iffender with face the wrath if the gods , and myself".

The kids cheered, as if no one had died, bucky pressed a hand to thalias tree, he swore he'd never let any ither demugod share the sane fate as her.

Because this was camp half blood, a place for demiogds to life without fear of being inslaved, or killed.

This was a place of freedom.

And Bucky, fir some reason, was in charge.
