Chapter Thirteen

Next morning the kids all woke up to find a sumptuous breakfast had been laid for them, consisting of fresh fruit, porridge, egg, bacon. and toast as well as tea and coffee.

One of Morgus's controlled servants was cleaning up the chamber and paid no attention to the kids.

The vent lifted, and Seafoam peeked out, then swung her legs around and jumped out.

"Aren't you afraid of been seen?" Ajeea asked her.

"Morgus doesn't know that I live here, he thought I came with you guys" she replied "Morgus is silly!"

"Just as well" Durnaa said "are the kids Ok?"

She nodded "yes".

"Good" Durnaa said "remember meet us out the front of the fort when we leave".

"Ok" she said "Prince Durnaa you look a lot better today than you did yesterday".

Durnaa shrugged "my brother and sister have helped as have sleep and good food".

"Obviously" she said.

"Join us for breakfast" Durnaa said "you probably as hungry as we are".

Seafoam nodded "Ok" she sat down and helped herself to some oats, they started eating their breakfast and talking, working out a strategy on how to get Morgus.

"We'll have to find him" Talion said "Seafoam could you help us there?"

"Morgus wanders all over the fort during the day" she said.

"You don't have to join us you know" Ajeea said.

"I know, but I want to" she said, "say any of you eating that bacon?"

"Yes" Durnaa said "but help yourself anyway".

"Thanks!" she said.

"Whatever is left take to your brother and sister" Durnaa said.

"Thanks" she said, "they would appreciate some warm food".

Ajeea looked up from where he was sharpening a stake and said, "if we get out of here you won't have to scavenge for food".

Seafoam nodded "I hope so, to not have to scavenge for food".

Ajeea said "dad will look after you".

"I'll take a placing in the kitchen as a servant" she said, 'all I want is a warm place for Dolphin and Neptonius, proper clothes, proper food".

"Yes, you'll get all that" Ajeea said.

Seafoam looked at the table at her five new friends, Durnaa still looking somewhat pale and thin was eating some eggs and bacon, Nova also looking somewhat pale and tired was tucking into oats, Sunlazer, silver eyed and quiet was eating toast, Talion looking every inch the Protector and fighter was talking to Ajeea and Ajeea, Durnaa's mirror image, although at the moment Durnaa looked a pale shadow of his twin.

She looked at the twins, she had never been this close to identical twins before and it amazed her how identical they were, normally it would be impossible to tell Durnaa and Ajeea apart, how could two people be so alike? yet so vastly different in personality!

Even in the short time she had known Ajeea, she could see that he was somewhat wild and impulsive and extroverted whereas Durnaa was introverted, Durnaa was shy, quiet and serious, whilst Ajeea was wild and impulsive somewhat, Nova seemed to be in the middle of them, practical, down to Earth, sincere and friendly Nova had probably got her wild and impulsive brother and her serious and dreamy one out of many scrapes, Seafoam didn't wager and she could see that they were all close.
