[All the conversations with the Japanese staff will be typed in English, although she said everything in Japanese]

——

My eyes opened all of a sudden as the captain's announcement hit my ears.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Japan's Haneda International Aiport. The outside temperature is currently 14 degrees Celsius. Your baggage can be found at belt number 16. Have a pleasant stay in Japan."

I looked around sleepily as I noticed people getting their luggage from the overhead cabin. I got up and put the blanket on my plush first class seat as I too grabbed my stuff.

I checked once before exiting the plane. I put on my overcoat as I walked through the aero bridge into the airport terminal.

My baggage arrived fairly quickly as I grabbed it and walked towards immigration.

After getting done with immigration, I finally stood outside Haneda's arrivals gate, hailing a taxi.

"Taxi!" I waved my hand.

The driver who had stopped nodded as I read out the address. I sat inside the taxi with my handbag and luggage. I was finally in Tokyo! The nightlife was beautiful, tall buildings adorned with neon lights and the youngsters roaming around after drinking and karaoke.

The drive to my hotel was not very long. I paid and thanked the driver as I dragged my luggage into the luxurious hotel.

I stood at the reception. "Hello. My name is Aisha Dheer and I have a reservation for the suite room." I told the pleasant looking receptionist.

"Just a moment, ma'am." He smiled as he typed away in his computer. All these years of coming to Japan had made me really fluent in the language.

Even though I came here every year, I stayed at different hotels and did different things every time, there was just so much to explore!

"Follow me please, ma'am." Another boy came up to me as he took my luggage and walked ahead. I followed him, inhaling the luxury of the hotel.

Businessmen were everywhere, some talking slowly on the phone while others having meetings at 7 in the night.

Families were present too, but it were mostly tourists and that too Europeans.

I was finally in my room, the most luxurious suite in the entire hotel. I was hungry, so I looked around for the menu.

I ordered a bowl of udon and tempura prawns and decided to freshen up while my order arrived.

I sat down in the tub, looking at the outside scenery of Ginza. I closed my eyes and leaned my bead back, suddenly feeling very sleepy.

I exhaled loudly and comfortably fell asleep right in the tub.

The doorbell ringing sharply woke me up. It must be the order. I blinked my eyes rapidly and got out. I wrapped the pure white bathrobe around myself as I went to the door.

I opened the door to see the expected- my steaming hot bowl of udon and a plate of tempura veggies and meats.

"Thank you very much." I said.

The server bowed slightly as he turned and walked away.

I shut the door and pushed the cart inside. It smelled heavenly. I quickly changed into my silk pajamas and I sat down on the bed, ready for my meal.

———

It was delicious- authentic udon and tempura. I got down from the bed and paused the movie on my laptop. I sent mom a text to tell her I had arrived and did the same to June.
