"everything's gonna be okay," charlotte said quietly as she stared at the ceiling of her bedroom.

"charlotte, stop daydreaming and help me pack up your stuff, you're the one that's moving, not me," aubrey groaned, placing a carboard box on charlotte's bed.

"right, sorry," charlotte mumbled, bending over and grabbing a pile of clothing off the floor.

"i can't believe you're leaving me here alone," aubrey pouted.

"you're not alone," charlotte laughed.

"yeah, but now i'm the maid of the house," aubrey grumbled and taped up a box.

"if it ever becomes too much, just come by, michael's asleep half the time, anyway," charlotte joked.

"stop talking about me behind my back," a voice interupted their conversation. michael walked into the room and pulled charlotte to him.

"nice hair, mikey," charlotte remarked, ruffling his red hair.

"don't make fun of it. it's totally hardcore, charlie," michael pecked her on the lips and shoved his hands in his pockets.

"i don't know if i really wanna stop by your apartment if you're gonna act like this the whole time," aubrey groaned.

"nice to see you, too," michael said sarcastically to aubrey. she narrowed her eyes at him and he did the same back to her.

"hey, what did i miss?" luke walked into the room.

"hey luke," charlotte waved.

"hey lucas," michael joked.

"aubs, this is luke, he's michael's friend," charlotte told her.

"hi, luke," aubrey nodded curtly and sat down on her bed.

"okay, michael i need you to finish packing my dresser with luke, and aubs and i will do my closet," charlotte ordered. aubrey groaned and threw her back onto the bed.

"can't you do that on your own, charlotte?" aubrey complained.

"no, c'mon, the quicker we do this, the quicker you get your own room," charlotte pushed her sister off of the bed and walked over to her closet.

"goodbye, charles," aubrey mumbled as aubrey got into the passenger side of michael's car.

"bye aubs, call me if you need anything," charlotte called. luke started his truck and michael started his car. they were soon pulling out of the samuels' driveway, and charlotte felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of her shoulders.

she was no longer living in an ignorant household. she would be living with michael. luke said he would stop by a lot, and aubrey had even promised that she'd be by at least once a month. charlotte, of course, promised to stop by her house occasionly, but for the first time in her life she felt free.

they stopped in front of michael's apartment building. luke helped carry boxes up to michael's apartment. luke left after all the boxes were gone, since he didn't really want to help unpack. michael and charlotte also did not want to unpack, so they didn't they sat on the couch and turned on all time low and they cuddled.

"how did i get so lucky?" michael poked charlotte's nose.

"what do you mean?" charlotte tilted her head to the side.

"you're so beautiful, and accepting, and empathetic, and i don't know. most people don't find people like you," michael tucked charlotte's hair behind her ears.
