Muhammed POV:

"Hello, I'd made a reservation for tonight. The names Mr Johnson " Mr Johnson said to me as he walked in with his family of 3. I looked down at the list and his name was written.

"Rafiq! Please can you show Mr Johnson to table 6 please." I said to Rafiq and Shoaib who were staring at girls. I tried to tell them religiously it was wrong- but they still wouldn't listen. I then told them business wise that it was wrong but still never listened.

"Rafiq!" I yelled again moving my eyes to Mr Johnson and his family.

He nodded and took some menus.

"Sorry about that Mo. Just this way Sir." He said taking them to their table. I groaned inside my head as I hated my name being abbreviated.

After a couple of minutes I went to each table and asked if they were enjoying there meal. They all nodded.

It was 10:45pm and all the staff had gone home. I locked up the money and put it in the safe. I swept the floors. I also stopped the dishwasher and put the eating utensils neatly in a pile. I finished all my work and was about to lock up when Rayhan entered the restaurant.

"Thank you for today. I really appreciate it." He beamed.

"It was no problem. How's Maryam and the baby?" I replied.

"Good Alhamdulliah. They're both sleeping. My dad was going to come but I suggested I should. He's really tired. " He responded.

"I really can't believe Ameena yesterday. She's never that shy. She's really loud. Even when Maryams family are around she can't stop yapping." Rayhan continued thinking back to yesterday.

"It was cute." I smiled slowing down as I realised what I said. Rayhan gave a cheesy smile.

"I think my mum will come tomorrow now In'sha'allah." I said trying to change the topic.

"Yeah no problem in'sha'allah." He responded.  He then took his phone out and showed me pictures of his son. I could only say one word-Alhamdulliah. The baby was so cute.

"Jaza'kallah (May God reward you with goodness). I better get home. Don't worry my dad said he'll pay you over time." He said to me. Taking the safe and keys which I had put on one of the tables whilst  we were talking. I smiled at him as I said Ameen (I accept) in my head to the prayer he made for me before.

Rayhan stood outside whilst I switched the lights off and followed him. We said goodbye as I walked home. I already prayed my Asr, Magrib and Isha prayers at the restaurant in the prayer room. I was really tired and really wanted to sleep.

I entered the house only to see my mum was waiting for me. She fell asleep on the sofa with her dressing gown on. I loved that about her she would always wait for me to come home from work and then she would sleep. Today I guess she was really tired and fell asleep doing so.

I crouched down and  kissed her cheeks and woke her up. She woke up with a smile and put her hand on my cheeks

"Are you home?"

I nodded and walked her to her room. I then made my way to my room and fell asleep after taking a shower and brushing my teeth.
