Three Months Later

After a few days things returned to normal, the defences became stronger, business had picked up and nothing out of the ordinary happened. The forest is strong despite the damage done to it. The Clearing is plentiful and full of life. No one has triggered the alarm since that day. People from The City even started moving to nearby towns.

We got a phone call from a shop in The City for us to check something out. They said they couldn't explain the situation and to start heading out as soon as possible. I explained the situation to Jax and I set out to packing ingredients. I started to teleport us to The City, we appeared at the ruins of the old city. I teleported us to the wrong place... It was only a few miles off so we started walking towards The City.

After an hour of walking we made it to The City, people were walking along the road and shops were filled, the architecture was amazing. We headed over to the address we were given. The shopkeep waved us inside when we got there. The shop sold conduits and weapons for training, as well as a few spellbooks. Something seems off...

Jax leaned against the wall and the wall, much like water he started to sink into it. He pulled himself out of the wall and turned around to give the wall a sheepishly as he backed away. I started inspecting the was and after a minute or two asked if I could peel away the wallpaper.

The wallpaper revealed a block of water floating against the wall. I touched the wall, it rippled and gave in, but didn't disperse, Jax saw and started to mix a solution to keep it from making a mess. The vial was a yellow-green color. He tossed the contents into the wall. It stuck to the surface and just hung where it landed. I started to just push energy into it to overpower the spell that was keeping the water there. Jax had pulled all the wallpaper away and had the solution on each block of water. I kept pushing energy until I gained control and released the water. Without the spell keeping the solution there it immediately spread throughout the water and steam filled that area. We did this again for the other walls and hung the wallpaper back up.

It was fairly late now and the lights outside cast colored light through the widow. Jax and I got ready to leave and said goodbye. On our way out he stopped us and asked what he could give in return, we told him we didnt need anything and to consider it as a favor from one shopkeep to another. He insisted that we got compensation, he went to a back room and brought back a worn book. He said he couldn't read it due to language barriers. We reluctantly took it and started to teleport back home.

It was very dark and we had to use a flashlight to find our way to the shop. We made more mac and cheese... We need to go shopping for food.

Sorry again for last week.  Ill be better from now on... I promise...
