Kate's P.O.V
I had gotten much better. I didn't faint and the sharp pain in my head is kind of gone now. So, we decided it's fine if Charlie moves back to his house. I'll really miss him. He leaves tomorrow. He isn't home right now. He had 5 interviews today. I was having popcorn and watching a movie. I heard the door open and Charlie walked in. He messed my hair up as he threw his bag in the couch and jumped into the sofa right next to me. He said,
"Hey ! What u watching?"
He grabbed a handful of popcorn out of my bucket and stuffed it in his mouth.
I said,
"Hey! That's mine! There some for you on the kitchen counter. "
Charlie ran to get his popcorn. He came back carrying his bucket of popcorn and his mouth stuffed with some too. He sat right next to me and said,
"What do you think of my new hair?"
"Blonde suits you, Brown looked nice too. I can't choose which one is better. "
"Thought so." He replied.
We watched his favourite movie, Clueless (from 1995) (he said it's one movie he loves during an interview). The movie was about 2 hours long. We checked the time it was 5 pm. I said,
"Charlie, I wanna see your interviews. 2 of them air today, right?"
"Yeah. "
The interview started . A few moments later Charlie said,
"You know how we can make this moment better?"
"Pizza?"
"Hahaha. You know me too well."
"It's in the oven."
"Oh my God. You're the best." Charlie said as he hugged me tight. He said,
"I'll go get it."
Charlie came back with the pizza.
Interviewer: so, Charlie. You have made out with some of your friends. So, did you do it again? Because there are some rumours.
Charlie:*blushes* well... I mean just as friends......a couple of- once or twice, maybe.
Interviewer:guys did you hear that. Charlie puth accepted he did kiss Kate Parker....
"Charlie! You didn't have to tell them ALL of that?!"
Charlie moved closer to me and hugged me. He said,
"Hey. It's fine. We just kissed... (he starts whispering as he looks at the ceiling)and as a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind kissing you again."
Were my ears ringing? I broke the hug and said,
"What's the last phrase you said? I didn't quite catch it."
"Nothing." Charlie said smiling.
"I love your smile. " I said as I kissed him on the corner of his mouth and went to my room. I giggled as I went.
Charlie said,
"Hey. Wanna go for a swim?"
"Sure. I'll be right back."
I changed into my swimsuit and we went to the infinity pool. We jumped in together.
"Brrr. The waters really cold"
"I know ,right?" I answered.
Charlie's P.O.V
Kate was admiring the beautiful view. She said,
"Isn't it beautiful? Seeing the beautiful cityscape. It feels so nice here, -"
I interrupted her by throwing a large splash of water on her.
"Hey!" She said as she turned to me.
I shrugged my shoulders and threw more water at her. This time she didn't say anything but threw a huge splash of water at my face.
"BWAHAHAHA"
She started laughing hysterically as I spat out water and rubbed my eyes.
"If that's really how you like to play Dr. Kate parker"
I said, throwing a wave even larger than before at her. She started giggling and then she sneezed, "achoo. "
"Its getting very late and cold. Let's go back inside." I said as I helped her out of the pool and wrapped her with a towel. She smiled. I said,
"You have a cute sneeze."
She smiled and was about to go in the bathroom when I stopped her and said,
"You should take your clothes inside with you." I handed her a baby pink satin nighty.
"Umm. Okayyy...?" She said looking at me awkwardly.
Kate's P.O.V
I walked out of the bathroom to find Charlie on my bed, lying down with both his hands behind his neck. He was wearing only his trousers and a loose t-shirt. He looked at me and waved hello. I closed the bathroom door behind me and said,
"Heyyy...."
"Hi."
He looked at me and said,
"You look nice-I mean the colour suits you." He said.
I went to the bed and lied down next to him. He hugged me and said,
"You know, I'll really miss you."
"Me too." I replied and I felt my eyes tear up a bit. He kissed my ear and whispered,
"I promise I'll visit you everyday."
I smiled a little and that's when charlie noticed my teary eyes. He wiped my eyes and said,
" Hey don't cry." he hugged me tighter and turned my face to his. He said,
"I wish we could stay like this forever." I buried my head in his shoulder and dozed off to a peaceful sleep.
(The next day)
Kate's P.O.V
I woke up to Charlie gently stroking my hair.
"Morning!" He said and leaned in to kiss me on the cheek.
"Morning! What time is it?" I asked, returning the kiss.
"It's uhhh...yes. it's 12.30 pm. "
"What the-! Shit I'm late for work." I said and was running out when charlie grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"I called your hospital and told them you're not coming today." He explained. He stopped for a while and then said,
"I wanted to spend more time with you before leaving." He said looking deep into my eyes. I said,
"That's really good. " I hugged him. I said,
"Need help packing?"
"Nah. I finished packing yesterday."
We talked for a few hours about how we had alot of fun during the last month until the lady who took care of my building, Pearl, knocked on the penthouse door. She walked in and said,
"Mr.Puth's car is waiting outside."
"Okay. Thank you, well be there in a moment." I answered. Shortly after she went Charlie and I decided to go down as well.
(In the elevator)
Charlie's P.O.V
Both of us were silent. Kate broke the silence by saying,
"So, this is it then..... I'll really miss you."
"Hey, this isn't it. I don't live too far away. We can visit each other whenever we want!" I hugged her. She spoke, with her voice shaking slightly,
"But I'm scared of one thing...."
"What? Tell me. I'll help you."
"What if you forget me and we never see each other again?" She said,now sobbing.
I couldn't stand a day without seeing her now. I answered,
"I'll never ever forget you. I will die but never ever forget you."
Kate gave a weak smile as she pulled away from the hug. She punched me on the arm.
"Oww! What was that for ?" I said , laughing.
"Don't ever say that again. I can't stand losing you."
Kate's P.O.V
The elevator's doors opened and we were on the ground floor.
We walked outside and we both hugged and said our goodbyes to each other. After a while, Charlie's manager called to Charlie,
"Charlie! You've got alot of work today. Let's go!" Charlie smiled and said,
" That's my sister. She's also ,my manager."
We both smiled at each other. Charlie was about to get in his car when he said,
"One second." to his sister and ran back up to where I was standing and said,
"I missed this..." before I could answer he crashed his lips into mine. He cupped both my cheeks with his hands as we deepened the kiss. He stopped to take a breath and smiled. He kissed me again but this time briefer than before. The kiss slowly came to an end and Charlie went to his car. He turned one last time and winked at me and then left.
