~Fictitious Reality 2~ a DDLC fanfic

Part 4: the Showdown.

You're not even thinking, just running. The only thought was Monika, and nothing else. You ran as fast as possible to stop Monika from being killed by her replacement. When you arrived, you noticed she was avoiding attacks, so you tackle the replacement's boyfriend. A burst of anger surges within you, as you violently attack him. Never in your life have you ever felt this much rage.

You toss the replacement's boyfriend aside, looking at her.

"I've been waiting for this very moment, Y/N.." she says, pulling out two knives. "To get revenge on those who were  responsible for my creation.."

She charges at you, but you barely dodge. You grab her by the wrists so she couldn't stab you, but it didn't stop her from fighting back. You jump back, and look for a way to have her drop her weapons. She charges you at you again, but faster. You prepare for the worst, knowing you couldn't avoid this attack.

You notice that you're not in pain, so you open your eyes, and look at her. Monika had stabbed the replacement in the back with her own knife. Monika takes the knife out, and stabs her in the neck. The replacement bleeds out, giving off one final breath of despair.

You heard someone scream in agony, and it was her boyfriend, the ghost who died in the Literature Club.

"I PROMISED I'D PROTECT HER AT ALL COSTS, AND YOU SLAUGHTERED HER!" He screams.

He falls on her, and begins to weep. You notice his body illuminating, and slowly sinking into her, then to disappear.

Uh oh, that can't be good.

Monika's replacement gets back up, full of fury and anguish. You look at Monika in fear, what's going to happen next?

"You two just don't know when to stop, do you?" She asks. "I've spent my whole life alone, not knowing he'd still be there, but then he came back and promised me that he'd protect me, and killed the others so the player wouldn't feel the love for the girls like I did for my boyfriend."

"And what do you do, Monika? You find out everything's fake, and kill the others out of selfishness because Y/N is more real than you'll ever be, but no. You couldn't accept that, you had to screw around with reality so a desperate man who has never had a successful relationship can be with his loathsome waifu. This is the end, once this portal fully opens, your reality, along with all of those who have been brought over shall be eliminated from existence once and for all."

The replacement grabs Monika in a chokehold, and proceeds to tell her about her jealousy. You notice a rock nearby, and chuck it as hard as you can, hitting the replacement in the face. She screams out in agony, falling to the ground. The portal opens even more, as it begins to suck in the fictional characters that had been printed.  You hold Monika in an embrace, this cannot be her end.

The replacement pulls out a blade, walking towards you two as she slowly rises up.  However a blast sends her away, it was the 3 Dokis, who kept their pale expressions and white eyes.

"This is the end for all things fictional and real, this area has had much activity, so send out the one responsible", the three say in unison.

"SEND HER BACK!" The replacement says.

The other Dokis look at Monika, who looks at them with a sad expression. You broke the brief silence.

"Monika is not at fault, this began when I brought her to my world because of my love for her. However, that Monika over there has wanted nothing but revenge."

For a split second, the other Dokis had their eyes return to normal, but only for a slight grin to appear.

"Your sacrifice was most useful, thank you for your contribution, Y/N" they reply.

The Dokis swarm over the replacement, pulling her into the portal as you hear her screams in agony become nothing but incoherent noises. The portal closes, creating something that looks like the blast from an atom bomb. The blast sends you crashing to the ground, making you lose consciousness.

Ooh, another chapter and another cliffhanger! After this story arc more lovey dovey stuff will be made.
