~Fictitious Reality 2~ a DDLC fanfic

Part 1: The Introduction.

Now this is a story all about how
Your life got flipped turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there
I'll tell you how you lived a good laifu with your waifu!

It has been a month since you and Monika were united, and not much has happened since. I mean, school started, she returned back to her parents, and you saw your friends on weekends more often, but not much.

For now, everyone knew her as "Emma", with the exception of your older brother and sometimes her parents. Funny enough, the kids who thought she looked like Monika called her by her actual name, which she didn't mind at all.

You get a text from your friend Craig. He's a chill dude you have known for years, and one of the guys that convinced you to play DDLC.

"Hey, Y/N! We're having a party this weekend, wanna come?"

You respond with yes, but ask him to talk to you parents. After arranging things, Friday rolls around and ends, and you go to his place.
Your other friends (Mark and John) arrive at his place. The classic squad begin to eat, drink, shitpost, and game. What could possibly go wrong?

You get a video call from Monika, and you answer it.

"Hey, Y/N!" Monika says.

"What's up?" You reply.

"I notice that the house you're in isn't yours, where are you?" She asks.

"No need to worry, silly!" You reply. "I'm at my friend's house.

Your friends look at Monika (who they currently know as Emma).

"Hey guys!" Monika says. Everyone awkwardly waves at her.

"I love you, Y/N! Have a good time!" She says.

You both say your goodbyes, and hang up. The others can't help but stare at you.

"Would you look at that?" John asks. "I guess he really did find a Monika in real life. I guess your playthrough and your messages really helped you out!"

You laugh at the comment, knowing that he doesn't know he's actually telling the truth.

You crash down on a bean bag, and tell them that you meeting her for the first time was a dream come true. A knock on the door is heard, so Mark and John go upstairs. It's just you and Craig in the gaming area.

"It's obviously her, isn't it Y/N?" He asks in a whisper.

You turn your head over to him and wink. He chuckles at your short answer.

Mark and John walk downstairs with some more friends, and notice the silence between you and Craig. John breaks the silence by telling some others about how you have a Monika girlfriend, as you and Craig begin to laugh. John is now confused. He can understand why you'd laugh, but why Craig? He didn't even care about the game that much after they played it.

"Come on, it wasn't that funny!" John says, looking at Craig.

"Oh no", Craig replies. "I know.."

Oh. Shit. Craig better not reveal it.

"Well yeah, the girlfriend isn't fictional, why would she be?" John says.

You stifle a chuckle, as John gets even more confused.

"Is there something going on that I'm not aware of?" John asks, slightly irritated.

"Yeah", a voice replies. "It's that you know nothing!" The voice says from the tv and your phone.

Oh my God. Not only was she listening through your phone this whole time, but she revealed the secret herself.

"Monika..." John says. "How?"

You hug the TV, forcing the others to awkwardly watch.

"Y/N gave me artificial intelligence, and made me more sentient until I got myself in the real world! We've been together for a month!"

Monika shows a picture of you and her on a date, which makes you blush.

"Y/N.." she says. "I love you so much!"

"I love you so much too Monika!" You reply.

The others stare right at you.

Mark was the first to break the silence. "WHAT THE FU-"
