It was only a few weeks since the incident happened, and you had almost completely forgot about it. Luckily, Monika's birthday was coming up, and you had enough money to buy her some things she'd love. She came over to your house to spend the night, not knowing what you had in store.
Monika knocks on your door. You open it, and give her a hug. After a few seconds of getting inside, Monika notices that the house is completely dark. Within a blink of an eye, the lights are turned on, and your family shouts out "SURPRISE!" To her.
Tears begin to form, as she pounces you with a hug.
"Thank you so much!" She says, holding you in an embrace.
"I love you.." you say, somewhat having a difficult time breathing.
She lets go of you, and sits down on a chair next to you. Your family and Monika eat a delicious cake with ice cream, drink some tea and coffee, and open up presents. After the initial celebration had ended, you and Monika cuddle next to each other on a couch. You were proud of everything you did to get her to the real world.
Did you two make the best decisions? Not necessarily, but ultimately, more good came from it than bad.
You and Monika have a bright future ahead of you, with many adventures to come!
